    ***The White Supras Thread***

Here's my lovely 90 in the parking lot of the body shop after about 8 hours of work: http://img124.imageshack.us/img124/5567/strippedsup03hp9.jpg http://img124.imageshack.us/img124/337/strippedsup02lm7.jpg http://img124.imageshack.us/img124/9517/strippedsup01qm3.jpg Its going to be...

How many supras do you own/ have you owned

Interesting how the most popular ones you guys find were the 89s. I wonder if that was the most popular seller for the mkiii line? I've bought 4 supras, sold 3 in the last 4 years. Two 87NAs, one 91t, one 90t. Still have the 90t, counted as one of the 14 in the list above..

    Brake light question, urgent.

You know, there are two types of bulbs. And they are "keyed" to go in a certain way. One type of bulb has two filaments, and the other has one. The fuses are under the dash near the brake pedal. Can't tell you exactly which one, but I usually check each one regardless and reseat each firmly...

    underbody Engine Covers

I often see engines without fan shrouds. I thought this would also play a significant role in cooling the engine..? I know in computers, its not good to run one with the case open. The fans cannot move the air properly.

    How to replace trunk struts?

I did this as well. Yes, our interiors are old, but the trim piece is tougher than it looks. I got a set of metric ratcheting box wrenches from sLowe's (your local slow home-improvement store). Works like a charm, and you don't have to pop the trim out that much to get the box wrench in there...

The thing I hate the most about supras/my supra is.......

EXACTLY! Cruise control comes and goes, the climate control is possessed, the lighter has officially checked out..and the bad CPS connector may prevent the car from starting!

Indy 2008 meet pictures/videos are here!

I made some interesting observations about the RX8 group. They were all male, all in their mid to late 30's, all very well dressed, very yuppie-ish. They all looked alike too. And so did their cars. We, on the other hand, were the most eclectic group out there and had the largest turnout. There...

Help! Supra behaving badly prior to indy trip..

And we have a winner! that indeed was the issue. The car decided NOT to start at the Indy meet, so the problem was quickly diagnosed. Thanks to those at the meet who helped out! Unfortunately, this is also the issue with the cruise control working/not-working, the lighter not working, the...

Click on thumbnails to see full pic. Cars were driven in the rain friday night, so we went out to clean them up before the meet. Here they are at the Radisson. Thats Allen (mk3forme) at the far left working on his two cars, the other white one is mine, and the silver belongs to Steve...

Indiana Supra Meet - May 10, 2008! (Merging with WWIV)

I am going to start an Indy pic thread back under general discussion if there's not one there already. I've got a dozen pics ready to go. Thank you Jeff for pulling everything together! We appreciate the time you put into this gathering. As you already know, I opted out of the dyno. There's...

    ABS Diagnostics?

check out: http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/TechTips/abs_error_codes.aspx My abs was kicking in at random on the DS when braking. It threw a 32. I bought both front ABS sensors from Champion at $130 each. Problem solved.

Help! Supra behaving badly prior to indy trip..

I plan to go to the indy meet this weekend, so I've been getting stuff lined out in my 90t. There's been alot of engine work done the past few weeks including new oil pan (old one was hammered, literally), ball joints, cps cover & seal, ABS sensors, tranny service, fuel filter, rear dif service...

stock TEMS suspension vs eibach springs

Oh, I still plan to go around and drive as many Supras as I can to compare. I'm hoping a certain SM member will let me drive HIS cars one day <hint hint>. And I may change my suspension as a result. I like the look of a lowered car. There may be other upgrades/adjustments that should have been...

why do you make your supra fast?

I own a Supra because there are very few around, and it makes a statement wherever it is at. I want to make it faster because I need a re-match with a (&#$^! little turbo neon. Revenge is sweet!

stock TEMS suspension vs eibach springs

I had two 87 NAs, both with stock TEMS. I had both at the same time. On one car the shocks were wore out, so the button didn't make any difference, I just floated along. On the other car it worked, and it handled the curves much much better. Sold both of those cars. Next, my 91T had...

    Best production year MkIII Supra

My 87 had the birdcage coolant light, as well as my 90 and 91. Did they leave it out and then brought it back? Climate control was just plain evil on ALL my Supras! Those things are really possessed, regardless of the year. I like that they put wider stock tires on the newer models. Not...

    Brake question

You bought a HONDA and you expect me to visit?? Told you, my Nissan would smoke that Accord. All those accessories you are slapping on it won't help! :icon_razz
