I actually had an Autometer wideband that read backwards. I have NO idea why, but thats the way it read, even said thats how it was suppose to be in the instruction manual. lol. Imagine my confusion when I hit full boost and my gauge is pure red! I was like FUCK FUCK FUCK, ABORT AHH!!!!!
Get one and check to make sure you are actually going lean. Because I do believe it is very hard, close to impossible actually to hear detonation with your ears. But you never know. Make sure you are actually going lean first.
Fuel tank could deff use a cleaning. Man are they nasty inside. If the filter was replaced, then Id say you were fine with not replacing it. If its the stock pump, replace it. Especially if it sat for 10yrs. I can imagine how nasty that thing is. But Im thinking that there is more to this issue...
Step one.....get the idea of a capacitor out of your mind
Step two.....upgrade the big three
step three...use QUALITY wiring/parts for it all
step four.....tune the system correctly
step five......enjoy your music.
