Do either of these posts add anything helpful to the question asked????????
My car had it's fuse box dropped into the wheel well with it's previous owner. I put it back where it goes, and still have the bracket used to hold it, if you are interested. Also, DO NOT remove the EGR or Charcoal...
Not sure if this is even stock, or if I'm even measuring this right, but I'm gonna post these for others who may happen on this thread in the future for any reason.
You poor pitiful soul! You bought a money pit, and now have found this addiction on the internet.
WELCOME! May your days driving outnumber your days mechanicing and wishing.
I saw a thread with one recently. I can't remember it clearly, but I think it was for sale. I believe he said he had to massage the firewall quite a bit with an 8lb hammer to make it fit.
Only thing I would pick on is the non matching reds.....From the wheels, to the intake, strut bar, and then in the hoses to the catch can......it's 4 different reds. Other than that it's a great looking car. I friend requested you after liking it.
Did you read the entire post from JetJock? It's not very long, but I think you missed part of it. I can't verify that myself, but JJ usually knows alot more than I do. Unplug it, and try again
Try not to flex the oil pipe if you can. It can be a pain to put back, but not impossible. Do as hvyman said and leave it bolted to the turbo til it's out of the car. Top right (I believe) bolt to the manifold will not be accessible with a socket. Shouldn't be a difficult job for a mechanic.
I may have a ground wire for the coil pack. I'll look for it, and if I find it, I'll throw it in the box with your gauge. It needs to be grounded, but I too have run without one before. I've also had a car that wouldn't start without it. It's weird
Doesn't look like it did too much rotting. Congrats on the new purchase, and quick revival. What does your buddy think of you now owning his old car?
I sent you an invite to join the 1992 owners group
People are just throwing out suggestions of what it might be. Generally you'll get the worst ansers first. With a 7M, the first guess is always head gasket, even if your problem is low tire pressure.
Don't think just slapping a head gasket on is the best repair for a BHG. Once the coolant...
looks great in those pics. A quick check for BHG is to take the oil cap off and check for chocolate milk on the underside. Definitley not a fail safe check, but if you see it, offer wayyyyy less. A 91 is very rare, and thus worth a little more than most. They only made like 3600 of them.
