try this: go to www.irfanview.com and download/install irfanview - it's free and very easy to use... will do all the resizing you need in less time than it takes to load photoshop :)

the tab caps are so that if you do have to take the cap off when the radiator is hot, you can relase the pressure that way, and then remove the cap after it has vented... it's safer than opening a normal cap half way and hoping you don't get hit with boiling water... it begs the question... why...

That would explain why you can't spell Canon :p :p Bang on the money there tho.... Both Canon and Nikon have their advantages and disadvantages, but at the end of the day, they're pretty much same same... You pick what you like and you'll be stuck with it... People very rarely sell everything...

as they said in there, the 50d is a very nice camera, but extra mp's on the same size sensor always means higher pixel density, and there's always a trade off.... for me, another thing to consider is the final file size.... i take a lot of photos at a race meeting, do i really need each one of...

oh, that bit i quoted is on the 'conclusions' page, there's about 20 pages in the review, many of which are direct comparisons with the 40D and other competitors...

oh, btw... if you're hoping to 'eventually sell prints', then consider whether you need to go all out on a pro body now, or just get a body that will work with the pro lenses you may buy in the next couple of years, as it may be an idea to buy a 40D or 450D in a kit now, and then slowly upgrade...

As I understand, the 50D isn't actually a huge improvement on the 40D. hence Canon still selling the 40D after the 50D's introduction... However, the 40D is now significantly cheaper than they were a few months ago... mind you, if you're talking about 'professional grade', then in Canon's own...

in that particular case, i think it was a promo for that model.... not entirely sure, but whatever it was in aid of, it was done with the blessing of the owner of the loader...

jza70 oil filters are a real pain too.... i think it's the only thing the 300zx's beat us on... their filters are sooooooo much easier to change...

I had another look at it tonight... without cutting the housing, that's the only way it's going to go together.... Tonight I measured up the oil and water lines, so we're getting a little closer... I was hoping to get it together by the weekend, but I don't think that's going to happen...

I have already rotated the housing... This may not be that pleasing to the eye, but it clears...

I'm still deciding how to run the intake plumbing, but I suspect I'll leave the front housing orientated like it is in the photos, with a 90 degree bend in the pipework just after it clears the engine lifting hook, and then a couple of 45's to line it up with the intercooler pipe.

Last night I got the turbo, manifold, downpipe, wastegate assembly back from a mate of mine who was cutting and welding the wastegate pipe. Slipped it back on the studs and did up a couple of nuts to get a better idea of what clears and what doesn't.

Got some good news on the manifold... the seller has offered me a full refund (except for shipping) if I withdraw my negative feedback... the catch is they want me to withdraw it first...

hehe... more pics will be forthcoming as it starts to go back together... i didn't take any at all when i was taking the 2jz turbos off, partly because i was getting a bit carried away with the work and not really thinking about taking photos, and partly because the last thing I want to do is...

haha... so true... at the end of the day, all 3 are pretty decent motors... i've got a 1jz and there are times i wish toyota had delivered it with a single ct26 hanging off the side instead of that d*mned twin turbo setup...
