    i would love to see someone do a hybrid setup on a mk3... with the standard driveline still in place, and a pair of electric motors in the front hubs... would have to be the least stressful (on the original driveline) way of adding 50, 100 or more hp.... and good for fuel consumption at the same...

    and now the wastegate is back off the car... think it's been on and off 3 or 4 times now... tomorrow i'll send it off to a mates workshop to see if he can stop it sticking part way open... he's had some before that he had to linish the valve stem as they were not sitting flush in the valve...

    time for another update... i've changed the plugs, checked a heap of inlet and exhaust joins, found a big intake leak that is now fixed... car was quiet at the gate, made good boost, for about 20km's... now the gate is leaking again and it's not making any boost again...

    ok... i've now managed to get the gate back on... was having trouble getting enough force on it to seat the seal properly in order to be able to do up the v-band clamp... but by supplying 10psi to it with an old 12v air compressor, i've taken care of that... the car is still not making any...
