Trying to replace the Celica lock, and hoping a Supra cylinder would fit it. If it would, I'd have it re-keyed to fit my car, just as I would have to do with a new one. The cylinder in the Celica now, my key won't even let the tip of the key in. I'm not sure what they did there, but it looks...
Funny! I pulled up the link again, and it brought me to a whole different switch. Last time, it said sorry, it won't fit. So I tried finding the 2002. This time it is different, and the picture looks nothing like the Supra switch. Saving that page, and checking local store, THANKS
I would like to know if anybody has any information on door lock cylinders. I have a 2002 Celica which has no drivers door cylinder usable to me. Since I bought the car a year ago, I have to open the passenger door to enter the car. My key won't even go into the cylinder in the door. I do have...
I have finally gotten a hold of a good wiring harness for my 92 5-Speed, but it is an Automatic harness. I have always heard that it was a simple thing to make it work. I have already pulled the makeshift converted harness from my car, and I have a little confusion.
First, I'm confused with...
The daily is blue.......it's just a GT! I'm not sure what's gonna happen once the Supra runs perfect.

Ya, but that car has the stock bumper, hood and fender if I decide I want to just paint them. they are white. But any body work would also need paint too. I just don't want the stock bumper in any color
So there is good news and bad that I guess I should update this thread with. A few weeks ago, I had a little accident, while playing with/testing the suspension in this car in an hard "S" curve. Even with the vacuum leak, it had enough power to show me that no matter what I have for suspension...
Pre 89 Bumper shouldn't cost you near $150, but shipping will be a killer. Fenders can be found cheaper than $100 plus shipping. Fenders and bumpers are not cheap to ship, especially if you are shipping across the border. You'd save a fortune if you could find it local, or at least close enough...
Ken, that last post has me confused. I have rechecked that all of my vacuum lines are run correctly. I also took each line off one at a time, checking my gauge to see what changes it made, both while it was off, and again after properly replacing the line. Nothing I did made the slightest...
I finally got off my ass and did something to the Supra today! For the last couple of weeks, I've been looking for the motivation to re-install my prosport boost gauge. Last week I bought wiring and connectors, but I never got around to it.
This morning, I woke up to a voicemail telling me...
$8900 is not a steal for a salvaged N/A MKIV that still needs that much work. They don't bring much more than 10K in good shape with clean title.
Love the hatch on the original link
DrTweak or Phoenixtuning. I believe they do all kinds of work for these cars. I know they build brand new harnesses for all the stock applications, as well as 1JZ/2JZ for the MKIII.
They are a little pricey, but quality work and service. I hope to soon be dropping the coin on a new 92 harness soon.
Hold out for a 1992! They only made about 1200 of them. Most everybody prefers the 89-92's with the better bumper, Tail lights, and spoilers. But, there are nice 86-88's as well.
