91 was a very low production year, take good care of it.
Is there a reason for all of the coolant related replacements, or just preventative measures? Just a tip, don't over-tighten the valve cover bolts, or that repair will be useless.
I saw this thread title, and a weird thought came to mind. Anybody remember all of those awesome mods? They will probably all begin their life (if that ever happens) WITH NO WARRANTIES
I have found a perfect front bumper in my color close enough that I can go get it rather than have it shipped. I talked to the guy today and worked a deal. I'll be picking that up Friday due to working times.
Just the other day, I was still trying to find that last little bit of vacuum. The...
The ECU is located above the Glove box. You have to drop the box, and remove the liner to get to it. The knock sensor wires are the only two clear wires going into the ECU. I think they are in the middle plug going into the ECU, but I may be wrong
Mad props to you Terry both on your awesome skills and your Supra!
BTW....I have a busy day planned for this Friday. First I will travel from Alabama to Florida to purchase a new bumper for the Supra, and then travel to Mississippi to see Ted Nugent for the 3rd time. Both trips are about 150...
Yes you can use the W58 until you decide to up the power. The tweaked harnesses are very good and pretty pricey. I don't think there is any difference in the transmission plug between the two. Get in touch with DRTweak and ask, he will be glad to help I'm sure
Here's an update to this...........
I have completed the swap to the older style connector, and it wasn't as easy as just swapping the connectors! The terminals inside the connectors were also different sizes, so I had to cut the wires, and add in some that would fit the older style connector...
I have recently sourced the proper wiring harness for my 1992 turbo, and replaced the repinned 1989 harness that I was using. With the 89 harness, I was able to use the older O2 sensor, and it is the only one I have at this point. My plan is to remove the connector from the 89 harness and add it...
To save you (or somebody else) some search time:

I just followed this and fixed my code 52. My thread was updated with a result
Yes, I just quoted myself there.
I have done most of that list this evening, and I am super happy with the results.
I got my knock sensor ground hooked up first. That lead to me checking codes, and I'm stoked that there is NO code 52! Not only that, the ONLY code I still have is 21 for the...
Thank you for the advise there supraguy!

A GREAT DAY in Forcedtorque history!
My wiring harness swap is 95% complete, and I have finally heard/see my car idle at 650 constantly! Can I get some boobies on that one please???? I'll repeat, the car is now idling correctly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Problems corrected with this new harness:
