    Is my fuel pump DEAD?

OK, I am finally off of 12 hour nights, and able to look at this. The first thing I did was look up the how-to Walbro install with pics that I wrote years ago with the wiring help from Shaeff (...

    Is my fuel pump DEAD?

I have just completed a wiring harness swap in my car, and now I can't get a thing out of my fuel pump. Prior to the swap it ran fine, but I have had to wiggle some of the wires before to get the pump going. I suspect that is where my problem is now, but not sure since it no longer helps. Could...

Wrecked my 89 M/T turbo shell on the way to the paint shop yesterday (7/12/2013)

Engine wise 89 to 90 are the same pretty much. The colors of connectors is just a color change (if it even is a color change). The difference is in the body connectors. The 90 has an extra or different connector because of the air bag. After that, I don't remember anything else. 89 to 91/92 is a...

How could I possibly have overlooked this?????????? Just put your stock housing back on, using the electronics in the Lexus. Do NOT try to clean them during the swap! Let me know if you need a stock housing. And, while we are on the subject of me overlooking things.......What part of Mobile are...

If you are on a limited budget, your cheapest option is to replace the AFM with a used stock one. Then retrace every step that YOU have done, and find the mistake.

Did you check for continuity from the ECU plug to the knock sensor plug AFTER the repair? BTW...I did that repair myself today. If you did, how did you get your test lead into the harness connector?

    ForcedTorque's Slick/Quick Build

Knock sensor has been rewired completely now. I have some errands to run, and hopefully later tonight I can rest my TPS, and at least get started on putting the plenum back on. I don't go back to work until tomorrow night, so I have some time to work on it in the morning if I don't sleep those...

Be sure to look at the motor mounts in both your car and the ones you look at. The 89's changed mid year, so there are new and old style. The new is round mounts and the old are square. I believe you need to swap subframes if you don't match up

Knock Sensor Rewire - I'm confused! Almost done

Sweet! Thanks for the clarification. My Coax is complete with ground wire in the bay except I haven't connected at the ECU. Now, to figure out which wire is which. My test leads do not fit into the wiring connector. I'll have to pull the wires out to test.

When pulling that motor, just remove the wiring harness at the ECU and push it through the firewall. Leave all of the wiring on the motor, it will be much easier to remove it all out of the car. Also, pull the motor and transmission together. You're gonna want that auto out anyway, and it's...

Wrecked my 89 M/T turbo shell on the way to the paint shop yesterday (7/12/2013)

From 89 to 90 you will have differences in body plugs, as there were air bag/no air bag differences. 91-92 is a whole different bag of worms. Several different connectors, and wires going to different plugs. I converted an 89 harness to fit my 92, and massive repinning came into play. It runs...

Knock Sensor Rewire - I'm confused! Almost done

I have been following Boostedsupra's (Love his car) write up on rewiring the knock sensor wires. The link: http://www.supramania.com/forums/content.php?135-Knock-Sensor-Rewire-Write-up-(code-52) My confusion comes at step 13. It reads" Strip enough of the KS wire so you can splice it onto the...

    ForcedTorque's Slick/Quick Build

So I tried to install the wiring harness, and one of the knock sensor plugs came off in my hand. Today, I got my plug rewired, and tomorrow, I will try to get it attached at the ECU. Also, I ordered a new intake plenum gasket, as I have the plenum off for the harness install. I'll also be...

Does an Automatic harness work on a manual supra?

Was this issue ever resolved? I am doing the exact same wiring swap, and hope to get it in this weekend. I want to take care of this before the harness goes in if that is possible.
