Help me choose twins for my 7M

well couple of things to keep in mind. double the oil lines. Double the returns (double the chance of failure). Intake complexity, exhaust complexity. Intercooler complexity. Sensor placement (o2). Relocation of any part that is "in the way". All i have to say is make sure you do not bite...

    7mgte spark plug gap?

Nothing. You might lose some combustion efficency but it might be negligble.

    7mgte spark plug gap?

the N/A have a higher static compression but the turbo motor have a higher absolute compression thanks in no part to the turbo. HENCE why the turbo motors must run a smaller gap or risk a blow out of the spark. Do as you please, correct. But don't come back crying a river of why things are...

    7mgte spark plug gap?

No You are setting it at .035" that is exactly .004" off from TSRM brand new specification! Higher compression requires a smaller gap. Same with higher power production.

Help me choose twins for my 7M

doubtful. Reason is that now you have about double the surface area to lose precious heat. A properly SIZED turbo will minimize lag and still get you in some high hp levels (yes 400 is high!).

    Indy-Cator Shift knob!

yes like going 80 mph @ Watkins glen, You will be looking down at the shift knob to see what gear you are in?? Come on folks, this is not a freaking sequential tranny! It is an H pattern. If you do not know what gear you are in, step away from the manual transmission.... (p.s. The MoTeC...

to targa or not to targa

so what is the car destined to do? If it has ANY racing that it will be doing. Forgo the targa and go hardtop. Reason is that with a roll cage. The targa becomes a feature that you can not use (ie can not get to bolts). ;)

    automatic turbo supras

You "manual is better" folks are aware that the ONLY reason race cars run a "manual" is because they prohibit a full sequential tranny in the class they run? Now a days, it is not about power. It is about how fast can you mash the gears and how easy is it to change gearing in the tranny. A...

tired of cleaning my back bumper

full throttle? no piggy backs or anything right? Stock, the car runs REALLY REALLY RICH at the upper RPM bands at full throttle. That is definetly carbon soot and nothing to be concerned with. If you were to read lambda. You would probably be seeing around .7 Lambda = around 10 AFR on the...

Help me choose twins for my 7M

Twin GT28r? That is a pretty significant sized turbo when only running 1.5L through each. 450 rwhp out of a twin turbo....at the biggest, 2x GT25 based turbo. That should net you roughly about 500 crank ponies. sorry Kritian physics don't work that way. If you run a parallel...

    Headlight/Projector question..

HID do not come with cut off built in. that is part of the projector assembly. In a reflector style housing, a HID will be a glare monster with no cut off. Regardless if it is the low or high beams.
