If you're a completely tool box and can't remember/determine based on speed and RPM/feel what gear you're in, cool. Otherwise, pass.

The cool thing it there is another part that it can transmit to and show your what gear you're in on the dash.

Might be useful for racing...

I wanted a dash mounted display telling me what gear I was in when I was 1st learning how to drive stick [in my Supra]...

but once I learned, it was unnecessary...

yes

like going 80 mph @ Watkins glen, You will be looking down at the shift knob to see what gear you are in??

Come on folks, this is not a freaking sequential tranny! It is an H pattern. If you do not know what gear you are in, step away from the manual transmission....

(p.s. The MoTeC SDL and ADL2 display gear based on RPM v. speed or on a strain gauge. It is as useful as bag of dog turds unless you have a sequential tranny!).

If it would shock me if it sensed I was going to try to grab 6th gear in the Supra... I would consider it.

$169? Can't you just glance at the stock configuration and make a pretty good guess at the gear you're in?
