Funny enough, there are less 1963's with split windows on the road than there should be. It was an "annoyance" back then to have the split, and a lot of people had the sheetmetal cut out and '64 windows put in. Shame if you like the '63 style, which I do. Just makes a '63 split window more rare.

I have no idea why that wouldn't be safe... the gears are straight cut instead of helical. Nothing dangerous there... There used to be a couple companies, in Australia that manufactured R154 gears. Both were 1-4 leaving the 5th helical for quiet cruising. Can't seem to find the companies...

The problem is, with remote starters, it'll start, crash, stall. Restart, crash, stall. Sometimes up to 5 times before it gives up... Not something I want to be involved in, directly or indirectly. I have mine wired to a momentary button, so I still have to think before turning the key, not...
