I don't believe in curses........unless it's electronically cursed. That is something I definatley believe in. Electrical gremlins FTMFL!!!!!!!!!

hopefully by replacing all the front end harnesses (behind dash, front body, and engine harness) i got rid of the previous problem. also got rid of as many stock sensors as i could, as i had just as many issues with them as well.

and yes, electronic gremlins are teh uberfail

I promise to say twelve hail Mary's and I'm even going to sacrifice a goat for you later on today. That's about all I can do, but it's got to help along with you replacing all of the parts that you can. There is no gaurantee that all of these will work, but I feel pretty good about your chances now. Good luck, crosses fingers and knocks on wood while throwing salt over my shoulder as I step over all of the cracks.

nothing much today

tinted my tails
p1528167_1.jpg

started the work on the front bumper, my head still hurts from the smoke the cutting wheel made
p1528167_2.jpg

p1528167_3.jpg

got the new SS spacers on the rear brake setup, either measured them wrong, or i put the pads on the wrong sides of the caliper, the inside pad on the pass side pushes against the rotor. fixing that tomorrow
p1528167_4.jpg

heres the mounted clutch and some of the beating on the trans tunnel, still have more to do, but shoulders hurt

wellllp, nothing much other than i have a new longer input shaft on order from thegearbox.

for anyone considering this transmission, you must either use an LS1 trans or put the LS1 input shaft into an LT1 trans. the LT1 input shaft is too short and will not engage the spline on the clutch disk

Didn't even see you had a build thread, Ben.
Saw all the FS threads and got a little worried, honestly. Glad I found it's quite the opposite!

nothing much happened this week with the build. pushed it out of the garage....and back in after i cleaned the garage out

heres the opening on the bumper before any work, plenty of airflow to the intercooler

got this for free from a good friend, he said it was ARC, kinda looks like it from the worn label, but i know its bigger than the stock rear sway, just need to figure out what to do for endlinks

heres the Viper input shaft, this thing is beefy, about twice as heavy as it looks, gonna have to have the end milled down to match the pilot bearing, as well as its a lil too long.

p1533880_1.jpg

also got the v-band put on the downpipe and got that back on, gonna need some work on the bottom, but that can wait, ill just drive open DP to the exhaust shop when the time comes. from this angle the turbo looks frickin massive, i guess its just the picture, it doesnt look that big in person.

just waiting on word back from a shop tomorrow, but i may be getting a Tilton or Quartermaster triple plate off a Nascar engine. gotta love having a domestic spline transmission! clutches are so damned cheap!

O and depending on how something goes tomorrow, this car may be on hold for a couple weeks, might be rebuilding and upgrading a 2003 WRX for my younger brother as his first car. if we get it, ill make a thread on that

You know, I have one of those LS1 T56's laying around... too bad it's still attached to the SS though. Love the engine and trans in that car, but hate the car itself.

Nice build by the way, good to see someone other than IJ doing something different now and then. ;)
