INSANE!!!

Just got back from a quick weekend trip to Las Vegas, and had the most incredible time of my life. Me and the girlfriend decided to take a what I though was a spur of the moment trip there to celebrate my birthday. Her gift to me was a chance to drive an Aston Martin V8 Vantage, Porsche Carrera S, Lamborghini Gallardo LPS60, and a Ferrari F430 F1 for 5 laps each around the Las Vegas Speedway road coarse.
All I have to say is she is amazing, this is after she gave me a Tag Heur Grand Carrera watch for Valentines Day! Definitly a keeper. lol

If anyone gets a chance to be in Vegas for a weekend check out exoticsracing.com

I love supras and especially mine but nothing compares to these supercars. I know that I must sound like a promoter for them but I am not, I am just still wiping the drool off of my face after driving 120 mph into a medium turn and hitting the apex perfectly all while being in a car that can handle it with no problems.

Has anyone done this as well?

She is a keeper ;)

I'd love to take those for a spin, but I think if I had the money to do the driving I would be more apt to spend it on other things. Maybe someday I'll dress up in a nice suit and see what the dealer thinks about letting me go for a test drive :)

We are both engineers but at different companies. Our frequent flier miles paid for the airfare, I expensed all the food, so basically I had to just pay for the hotel.

Also, if anyone goes to Vegas, I recommend the Palazzo Hotel. It is an all suite hotel that was perfect. 720 sq ft suite overlooking the strip.

p.s. no sharing allowed, she's all mine. lol but nice try...

Awesome! Which was your favorite?

I would have to say, the Ferrari. It was so light and nimble, yet very powerful. But it sucks that I got stuck behind a Lamboghini for a lap, so really I only got to push it for 4 laps. The paddle shifters where in the perfect spot, the mid to high end range power was very smooth. Brakes were very nice and powerful. There was nothing I didn't like about the car.

Porsche was the second favorite, very different than the Ferrari, but equally as fun. It needed more power though.
Aston Marth was next favorite, actually defaulted to this position becuase I hated the Lambo. Needs alot more power and seemed heavy around the turns.
The Lamboghini was by far the worst in my opinion. Way too heavy, No mid range power whatsoever, AWD that really didn't help it, Shitty traction control which always kicked in at the absolute worst time, Brakes were worthless unless you 50% or more, Stock brakes on an mk3 are better below 50% I swear. Even though I was in Manual mode, the trans kept deciding which gear it thought I wanted to be in. Pretty much, I'd rather drive my supra around that track then to every drive the lambo again. Definitely not worth the price tag.
