    As i said, an igniter to replace the stock one that can supply either the stock coilpacks/is300 coils OR *SIX* 1MZ-FE/1JZ-GTE coils (still wasted spark) - we're going for CPLD control with MOSFETS for switching. Mmm. beefy.

    Yeah, i'd go with Stuey's foglamp mod though, doesn't involve installing anything, just re-wiring the rear taillights to support a twin filament lamp. As for emissions...in the UK, it's only a two speed idle test, and cars registered before 8th August 1992 are exempt from needing a catalytic...

    UK Spec cars come with them, too. The brake ducts are actually pretty flimsy - you could fabricate some far better ones out of sheet of aluminium pretty easily.

    ...cause it's foggy here sometimes! :P You turn it on in foggy conditions so that people behind you can actually SEE your taillights. The stock tails aren't bright enough.

    The only issue you'd run into importing a US or JDM spec car into the UK, is the requirement for rear foglamps, which is an easy to wire issue.

    You'll have no issues importing a US spec into the UK, lax emissions requirements, and you can import just about anything you want :) Take mkiiisupra.net with a pinch of salt though...can be very cliquey.

    Jon, as far as the igniter goes - how much 'control' over dwell is there, and how is it monitored/controlled? All i see is IGf feedback to the ECU, which is a simple 1/0 response to whether the coil has fired or not, correct?

    Er....AFAIK you never got 1JZ-GTE's with VVTi outside of Japan, or Toyota Soarer Models. You had the SC300 with the 2JZ-GE VVTI, or the 1UZ-FE, but never the 1JZ, or any Manual options.

    7M-GE AFM = Reports Voltage to the ECU 7M-GTE AFM = Reports Frequency to the ECU. As already stated, the only reason to fit a Lexus AFM is for GTE people who are hitting fuel cut. As you're not hitting it, and not even running a turbo, it's entirely pointless. The AFM on the GE is already...

    Lexus AFM is for 7M-GTE's only. With a 7M-GE, other than a free flowing exhaust, and a filter, you're not going to see anymore than 204hp. If you want power, you should look at a turbo swap.
