Question on JDM front lip-

Am I correct in thinking that the JDM 89-92 lip came with small brake ducts?
And if so, Does anyone know what direction I should look to for sourcing one?

PS-! Does anyone have a pic of one?

HPF recently had the lip itself listed as available, but I'm not sure on the ducting. Might be easier to build something of the sort using a Shine Auto lip and save a bit of cash while you're at it...

Just so you're aware, I'm 90% sure the hpf lip doesn't include the duct. I know you said you don't care about them, but their description is misleading. If that actually includes the ducts my jaw would be on the floor.

It does not include the ducts. It was used on all widebody 90+ MA70's, GA70's and JZA70's in Japan (not just the TT-R). It was also used in some places in Europe as well.

The ducts are discontinued.

Yeah, I just installed one on Stanzaspeed's car last month, it looks good but I need to get the ducts for it.

How hard would it be to fabricate ducts of your own, or modify some from another car? I know some Miatas came with them, and it wouldn't surprise me if any number of higher end cars did as well.

I have the JZA70 Lip and ducts. I got my ducts from the FS boards here as they have been discontinued long ago. I also got one of the last 2 hole lips in stock in the states in aug of 2010. Not sure if more have been shipped over to the states since then, any dealer can look the part up for you.

I have the ttr lip with the ducts. I cant use the ducts because my intercooler piping is in the way. Id be willing to sell the ducts let me know. heres a pic of the lip I dont think I have a pic of the ducts though

I just got the "supposed" last JZA70 lip this past summer sometime in august. Who knows though, maybe it is just a tactic to get people to buy them right away because they might not get a chance to get another one. Someone should call up Champion and find out if there are any left. :naughty:
