I have repaired alot of heads, if done right with the right grade alum filler you should be fine. Just weigh your options first of repair cost vs a good used head.

still not sure what to do about the head yet
but I did get the piston cheacked out at JE

shock and aww the coating was still on the piston but all that poures ness it just det marks 4 pistons did not pass 2 are still ok to use but I wonte

so what they say that happend was the motor detonated then the ecu tried to save it washed the walls with fule or number 2 got way way to hot and just tuched and got ass pounded

4 other pistons are mess as well

and this all happens in millsecounds

main cause a nasty over boost

so they fucked up and I will get new motor out of this

pretty much knew what happen now

biggest question now is this head now junk ?

kinda bumbed right now since it will mot likly get replaced or all ground away and reweled

Can someone explain to me what I'm looking for? Was it the sharp edges that helped detonate it?

^ No it was not, you don't wana touch the pads in less using custom fitted pistons to match what ever you are doing

thous rough marks are from detonation

What ways are thereto fill in chips and gouges on the quench pads? I have a cylinder head that I took off the sharp edges around the combustion chamber but in 1 chamber there is deep gouging from previous detention.
