Take away more fuel maybe 5% at a time until it idles at around 14:1. It's bogging because it's so rich. Do you have any friends that have tuned a 3d fuel map before, could they stop by and help? With a wibeband in the car I could tune it from running like that to idling perfect and cruising...

I ran the HKS replica on my 7m for a few years with no issues. I have sold at least 50 of them and never had anyone complain or send one back for warranty. The new xo2 one is nice, I am using it on my new 7m turbo kits. It has a year warranty and if you buy it from me I will take care of you...

You can get all the xo2 wastegates and stuff from me for a little less then on their site. I have the 44mm one on my site for $140.

We're not talking about a mk4, those have an inflated value because of the high demand. You can pick up a clean mk3 for $500-$1500, no one should pay $11,000.

Megasquirt is more like a high school science project then a standalone engine management system for your car.

I have a knock sensor, actually I have two...... MY EARS! Knock sensing is retroactive. If it detects knocking, it's because it's already knocking.

Exactly, if you have to rely on knock dectection for a safe tune, then something is wrong with the tune or the engine/fuel setup.

LOL I didn't catch that at first! :biglaugh: He is probably going with electric fans, right? Either way, I have NO FREAKIN IDEA why people want to ditch the hydrofan, it's the most awesomely cool (pun intended) cooling system.....like, ever. I would swap IN a hydrofan if it didn't have one.

I would rather just turn the boost up 1psi to make up for the "10hp loss", and have a more reliable cooling system. But that's just me... Those are really for drag cars not street cars.
