its a plastic pos and has no bleeder screw. ill try to get some pics of it to show you. it also has a fitting thats held in place wit ha pin. no threads. wierd.
anyhow, from front to back is t56, r154, w58, and my other t56(and off to the right is my only remaining good r154.)
also...
i grabbed my r154 slave today and well, i think i an make it work fairly easy. the bolt holes dont line up bu tthe reach is right, so im gonna weld a small peice of angle iron to it after cutting it the right shape and drilling holes so itll hold the slave perfect and sturdy, then gonna weld it...
sorry for no new comparison pics today. woke up and felt like total and utter shit. got the pilot bearing for the r154 and t56 and the 1.25in drill bit i need and some other misc stuff so i can start on the adaptor plate. next i need to call around and find out who has the best price on the 6061...
the lt1 trans is rated t 450tq, but obviously holds more. the viper t56 is rated to 550tq. it has a steel 3-4 shift fork and larger diameter output shaft. anyone know the real tq rating of the r154? for me it was this or a th400, the th400 has no overdrive and i prefere manual, so t56 it is.
i know, he said he will call me when he has more. if i let you know could you? ill ask him for permission first and tell him your just wannting to check the quality etc.. of the unit since there are multiple people in the community interested in this. so far looks like ive got all the leg work...

the box is $299 plus shipping. she said she needs a stock speedo cable to adapt it to her cable that comes out of the unit so it will fit the stock cluster. says it can be recalibrated later anytime you change tire...
only prob right now is the speedo. the t56 is an electronic output. the stock cluster has a speed sensor on the back of the speedo. im wondering if it can be removed and then a signal convertor be made or bought to adapt the signal to the stock speedo. anyone have any idea on this? ive heard of...
especially when he could have called discount or autozone and been told in 30sec. lol. i was gonna post it but ill stay quiet. guy needs to learn how to read. the tsrm gives step by step instructions. pretty idiot proof, but then again.....
man, this swap is turning out to be almost too easy. they said the disc is $119.32 for a 4 puck metalic sprung hub disc to fit the r154 pp and t56 input shaft. and the pilot bearing is an off he shelf part for a honda civic. like 89-00. still have to wait to find out about a multiplate clutch...
well, spoke to the clutch shop. they said an r154 disc wit hthe gm spline is easy. and also is checking on the pilot i need wit thhe 7m o.d. and the t56 i.d. i also inquired about a custom twin disc setup using the gm splines. he said he will have the info i requested today so ill call back on...
if i can get it made cheaper ill deff get a buy going. and if i cant, ill see what ati can do. i may even try to make it myself. i have the ability to get it all lined up correctly and whatnot. itll take awhile since i dont have a full machine shop but if i do my own that would be it, i wouldnt...
just got off the phone with ati. they said the part number for the plate alone is 915180 and the price is $478.80. thats for just the plate, not mounting hardware or anything else.
