And looking at the dist cap, which way does it rotate, and which is number 1 2, etc

, calling the TSRM (our bible in which all can be solved) sucky, inability to search, posting in the wrong section (turbo cars run coils, not dizzys), improper bump (1 every 24-48 hrs)....

you know what? if its something so simple figure it out on your own maybe?

How to align the cam pulley gear? By TDC mark on the gear and notch cut into the top of the rear top timing belt cover.

Drumminforev, it's one thing for you to try and not be able to figure something out... the point is that you're willing to make an effort. As mentioned before, if you're not willing to "waste your time" then why should we? I didn't know the answer off the top of my head, I went and found it for you. I guarantee it won't happen again unless you do some legwork first.

We're very lucky that we have the online resources available for servicing and modding these cars that we do. I've owned far more common vehicles for which online help was near impossible to find in any format and no one on a forum could agree what was right.

I'm sure everyone on here has sent a message to another member asking for a quick answer. I've done it many times. BUT, if the person I asked didn't have the answer or just wasn't online I kept digging... half the time I find the answer myself first and just PM them back letting them know to disregard the first message.
