The block itself didn't really change too much, the only significant difference is the port where the oil pressure sender went into became larger to feed the VVTi OCV. There are no different oil galleys in the block, and VVT-i and non-VVT-i blocks are in every other way 100% interchangeable...
Need an ECU pronto. In Las Vegas until Friday. Needs to be from a JZA70. Preferably an M/T ECU.
Could also potentially use an igniter.
Let me know ASAP if you have one, thanks!

No sense deleting the thread, the information will be here for people to find in the future.
Confirming what was said, yes they will fit without rubbing, they will however look awful. (Personal opinion only; the fronts are way sunken in. +50mm offset is hard to swallow on an A70).
Jeff
PPS was only standard on 89-92 Turbo models. It was also included on 89-92 N/A models with Sport Package. N/A models without sport package do not have PPS.
There are 3 types of steering rack for the A70: 86-88 with damper/without PPS (all models), 89-92 without damper/without PPS (N/A without...
Just looking to know what the functionality is supposed to be like on the 1JZ-GTE A/C idle-up, the car idles up fine, but it seems like it might be idling up too much. Typical idle speed is about 650rpm on the car, and when the compressor cycles it will jump up to about 1500rpm, and then...
An important moment in the build of my car has arrived: date booked at the body shop for the final body work and paint, dropping the car off at the end of the month. Expect glossy black goodness.
I'll make sure I can take pictures of the body work along the way, maybe stop by the body shop...
You've been here for seven years, you should know that these types of posts typically have no place here. If it's so easy to find using a search, do the search for him and post the most relevant information for him to use. That being said, you did at least explain one of the ways you can search...
That's actually where I have it right now, but it's too tight and rubs against some stuff. It's a 1JZ, so the intake pipe is basically right there. :\
Nope, not going to happen, haha.
Jeff
It can be cut without issue, but with used 2JZ cranks being relatively plentiful, I would probably get a different crank if it was mine. No sense losing material when a good one can be had relatively cheaply.
Jeff
Ideally I want an OEM one from another car. I tried a few today but none fit quite well enough, I will try some more on Monday I think. I could have one made, but it's not really what I want for the car.
Stock one definitely won't fit anywhere near the stock location, I am considering...
The JZA70 doesn't have a sensor, so I should be good there, heh.
I'm not sure I have enough room to mount anything in there like that, but thanks anyway.
Anyone else?
Jeff
What are you guys using when you install your FMIC, are you just relocating it, or is there a reservoir from another car that fits well above the FMIC? I'm trying to find something that will fit/work well in a JZA70. I'll probably try to fit something from some other car, but I figured if...
What part is cut? If it's just a connector here or there or something, repair it. If it's a major issue, you could replace it.
Honestly without knowing more I can't say.
Jeff
Lock cylinder, lock cylinder set, ignition switch. These are all different parts.
86-89 Ignition Lock Cylinder: 69057-32121; $102.44
90-92 Ignition Lock Cylinder: 69057-14130; $101.55
These will come with new keys. If you want to keep using your original key, you'll need to get a locksmith to...
