what would cause an oil filter to not contain any oil when its removed during a service? i had drained the sump already but theres always some oil in a filter when its removed.

just to let you guys know i fiitted the afm off my spares car and it passed emissions at 1.99% co whereas it had been 4.5% (roughly) when it failled its emissions test. the allowed limit is 3.5% pleased it was an easy fix

but if the sensor has failed wouldnt that throw a code also? i checked the codes just before it went in and everything was normal.

would that not trigger a fault code though?

Im no expert on engines. im not a machanic or anything. when i said knocky engine i meant the bottom end is knocking. ie if i rev it to 2.5k rpm it starts to rattle. would this cause what you describe?

supra469 you probably keep getting water in your fail sensor. replace the light seals when you fix the rear lamp lens

the lamp fail box in both my supras is a blueish colour. both uk cars. ones an 1987 the others a 1988 both na ones manual ones auto

yeah i think so, i guess i could pull the dizzy off and see if theres anything inside. I still need to check the oil filter aswell but now its dark when i return home from work so i guess it will be the weekend before i can have a look at it
