7M-GE Ticking noise, just starting to get louder

make a video. i made one of my car. i suspect mine has rod knock. ill dig the vid out later and post it into this thread. then everyone can compare the 2.

also i changed the oil in mine and it reallly quietened it down.

mines an 88 7m ge so i guess its a fairly good comparison.

What is the mileage of your car and whens the last time you know the valve stem seals were replaced. I had the dreaded BHG and after i fixed it i had what sounded like a valve nock that wouldnt be there at idle but when i first started to go in first till about 3000 rpm i would hear this knock didnt really hear it much in other gears but i could tell it was there. I realized i forgot to replace my stem seals, after replacment the noise was gone.

bought a stethoscope and it sounds like its comin from the bottom end
