    Off road places

I didn't know that, I'll have to check some junkyards. Unfortunately I'm still on stock axles, however if/when I upgrade I might go with some DANAs. I haven't really decided yet. I guess I'll see if I break anything with the 7MGTE under the hood first, then go from there. I've currently got a...

Moving back in with the parents to save money?

I have a debit card, I just don't use it often as I usually don't need cash. Do you get 1% back on every purchase you make? Doesn't seem like a lot, but it certainly adds up. If you play the system right, it works for YOU, not the other way around. I don't need a CC, it's just convenient AND...

    Exhaust flow/horsepower?

I used to run a RS*R Concept cat-back. It had the resonator deleted, and was pretty much as straight through as they come. It sounded *amazing*, but the canister was just too big for my liking. When I went to the dyno several years back, I removed the exhaust and drove down open downpipe. Even...

    Obx underdrive pulleys

Junk and a waste of money. There was just a thread on this: http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?137348-Are-the-OBX-Crank-Pulleys-off-eBay-okay ATI is the best out there for us. (Thank you, Figgie!)

    Off road places

I'm building my truck to be as low of COG as possible, with no bigger than 35" tires. I want ground clearance for the axles, but a low COG to prevent hairy off-camber situations. I'll never run anything other than a Detroit LSD (which I have now) or a selectable locker. Anything else and I'd...

Moving back in with the parents to save money?

I always get a good chuckle out of all the anti-credit card people. While credit cards can be problems, it's generally the cardholder that causes the problem. Here's a simple tip: Don't spend more than you have in cash to cover that expense, and don't let the bill roll over to the next month so...

I had a carbon fiber, weighted TRD knob on mine. Still have that thing kickin' around somewhere, but no transmission to put it on yet. LOL.

Using 89 wiring harness and ECU in a pre 89

If finding a new harness/ECU isn't an option, then do what 89jdm7m said and de-pin the connectors, re-pin in proper orientation. You'll need the TEWD for each year setup you're working with.

    Heat dont work, accordian intake

Replacement couplers: www.siliconeintakes.com Heat issue: check the heater valve, located on the firewall on the passenger side (LHD cars). There is a plunger on a steel rod. Push it all the way up and zip tie it in place. See if you have heat. If so, verify the vacuum source is good. If it is...

    1zz-fe cooling system?

Generally if I'm going through the "trouble" to remove the t-stat, I'll just replace it. It's cheap anyway. However, it never hurts to test the old one.

Using 89 wiring harness and ECU in a pre 89

Not worth it, in my opinion. You'll save so much time and frustration by just getting a proper 87-88 turbo harness/ECU.

    Timing belt tension

Also keep in mind, if the belt tensioner bracket is even slightly bent (which is easier to do than you think) then the belt will be loose.

Need help with knock sensor rewire..

Doesn't matter, however if you'd really like to know- I just checked an 87-88 turbo harness I have here. The rear sensor is KNK2.
