well it sounds like Southbend is the way to go as this is not the first time I've heard of the Spec slipping at lower-than-rated torque levels. Went with sprung 6 puck instead and it uses thier 2500lb pressure plate :naughty: . thanks for that info about refacing though figgie. Southbend...
Hi,
can some of you more experience meth injection users post some pictures of your setup? I need to implement this into my 2jz na-t setup and am wondering the best way to do this while staying within my budget.
I'm over-estimating a little just to be safe, since I don't want a clutch that will slip. High boost is 25psi (meth injection) which is ~500-550rwhp will be used when occassion calls for it, most of the time I'll be at ~450rwhp on pump gas. But, changing the clutch in a garage with sub-par...
After more talk with my tuner, apparentlyl 550rwhp is what he expects on high boost with my car, so I need a good clutch that can handle 550rwtq daily driven. I need to get something today, what should I get that's ~$550 or less? :icon_surp
What do you all think of Southbend clutches for the R154? I'll be running ~450rwhp with a R154 transmission and was considering Southbend or a Spec Stage 3+ superclamp.
Spec Stage 3+ is a carbon metallic:
Southbend DXD Stage 4 FE series:
Spaniard, you're the one that sounds like a moron. Actually you and all the other Bitron testimonial jingoists. I'm sick of hearing these worthless testimonial posts in this thread.
EVERYTIME WE'VE ASKED FOR SCIENTIFIC PROOF, we've received excuses. What really cracks me up is this bi-tron...
I'm looking for a map just to drive my car to a tuner in Austin. Does anyone have any safe 2JZ-GE na-t small single turbo AEM EMS maps? My car specs are the following:
Stock 2JZ-GE engine with Supra twin turbo headgasket and ARP headstuds
--> resulting final engine compression is 9:1
Dave...
.58 exhaust housing is too small for that turbo and will choke it imho..I want to minimize the backpressure and .68 is the smallest I'm willing to go. With that said, would my above mentioned mods help me reach full boost no later than 3200rpm with a t61 turbo?
I read about persons remanufacturing their OEM clutches to a KEVLAR composite. Who does this and how much extra torque (and longevity) will this give the OEM R154 clutches? Also, will the oem pressure plate need to be remanufactured to hold 500rwtq? If so, how is it and done and who do I send...
ToyoHabu,
thanks for those links! But, I need an affordable lift that will not touch the car's wheels so I can do suspension upgrades with ease :naughty: . Any other model recommendations?
Having a small portable non-scissor type lift in my garage (that doesn't require being drilled into ground) would really make my life easier for servicing my sc300 and make buddies car projects actually fun for a change. Raising vehicles more than knee height is not required, but would be nice...
