$500 is a fair price. This is not rocket science, it just requires some elbow grease and intelligent use of chemicals to clean block and head mating surfaces.
Also something to consider: Ceramic coating + exhaust heatwrap with clamps. I had an interesting finding after I ceramic coated the inside and ouside of my downpipe...it was quieter. After wrapping the downpipe with exhaust heat wrap, it was practically silent. I discovered that ceramic...
I found some interesting reading on www.bullseyepower.com regarding their turbo compressor wheels with extended tips. They claim it can allow the same trim size turbo to flow ~100hp more on pump gas without sacrificing spool time. How much of this is gimmick and how much of it is true?
You're right, it is for mkiv's. Is there anyway to get it to work on mkIII cars? It comes with 4" V-Band Clamp, 3-4" Adapter to mount to any 3" midpipe, and all mounting hardware. Full stainless steal and polished. Pretty good bargain for a complete package like that if you ask me though...
The Integrated motorsports stainless steel 4 inch exhaust is one of the best bang/buck sounding and performing exhausts I've ever heard on a supra. It has that ideal balance between quiet and "good sounding." Also, no droning is a plus!

If you or anyone can make me a plug and play harness-connector for the Megasquirt that will utilize my stock 2JZ harness, I will buy it immediately. Pls pm me :).
Perhaps you should also re-read my post. I never said map-ecu was difficult to tune. I was emphasizing that the tune goes to shit and is not consistent, thereby negating the notion of any proper "tune." Map-Ecu is not worth the money for karmen vortex cars. The tune will even go to crap in...
Actually, my map-ecu is bashing is entirely justified. It is a HALF-ASS tune. If I pay $500-$600 and the sales guy tells me it will be perfect for my car, I expect it to work perfect just like stock. Having the tune go to shit when the weather changes with MAP-ECU is completely UNACCEPTABLE...
Omesh,
there are plenty of EMS options for you in the less than $1,000 category (including sensors). hell, if you're 7mgte, a member is selling his complete megasquirt II v3 ECU + harness & pre-tune for ~$600-$700. You need to let us know what your setup and budget is. Motec is hella...
A few months is too much. Someone tell me the exact test that need to be done and I'll see if I can get it done in the Dallas area immediately. :naughty:
Yes, I was the karmen vortex map-ecu guinea pig. Unfortunately, it's still installed on my car, but I'm researching stand alone ecu's so I can rid myself of this unreliable & inconsistent piece of junk once and for all. Now, like I said, if you're car is Hotwire type (ex: 2jz-gte obd I), the...
If you have a karmen vortex car, the MAP-ECU is a nice pile of shit. It is quickly being known as the "Crap-ecu." If you have a hotwire car, you will have better results because of the much higher tuning resolution and the fact that Map-ECU was designed for hotwire cars.
Bilstein is better than all the shocks posted here IMHO. You can get some cheap shocks that will feel stiff and make ur car slide out, or you can get Bilsteins that will keep your car planted to the ground better than the mentioned shocks in this thread. www.eshocks.com is your friend :naughty: .
