i've been searching and i cant find the answer to my question. is the 1jz coolent temp sensor the same as the 2jz? or the 7m maybe?

check your coil pack connectors, make sure the wires are pressed in all the way and the plactic is not broken.

it should idle around 800, if you choose to rasie the idle with the little throtte stop screw on the throtte body make sure to readjust the tps. there is also a diaphragm under the tb that slows down the throtte plate when you abruptly let off the gas you should make sure it's working properly...

check your wiring to the ecu for example the constant powers, the switched power and ground. make sure the trigger wheel behind the crank pulley is flush with the cps. if your not getting spark or fuel injector pulse i would tend to think your ecu is not receiving proper timing signals.

or you can sell it to someone that swapped it into their 240sx, the external shifter make it line up perfect.

thing is its aways better to have vaccum sucking air out. it creates a low pressure situation for your valve train

i'm sure you could use a shorter filter with a short pipe and a hose fitting, or am i missing something?

mine does that but only for like 2mins after i start it up. havent got around to fixing it though.

also check your fuel pressure and your plugs.

if you have to spary starter fluid to get it going it might be a fuel related problem. i would check to see if your fuel pump is priming and what your base fuel pressure is at. also you could replace the plug to rule out that problem, also take a look at the caps in the ecu.

if it still doesnt start then check if you have 12v at your injectors with the key to on

if you do have 12v at those places then check crank angle sensor and the wiring to it and also check your grounds for the ecu and thats all i can think of right now

check your fuses and wiring

do you power (12v) at t1, t2, and t12 when the ignition switch is on the on position?

that tsm might have been for a 7m......

i have a ms1 on a 2.2 pcb with a flyback board so i can use low and high indepence injectors

whats your opinions on wasted spark on a 1jz? i'm asking because i have a megaspuirt and ford edis6 i could easily hook up. what are the drawbacks?
