Okay so the car's been down for a few days now, but this weekend, I will finally have the time to look at the car. And I know that I can easily search for similar threads or look in the stickies but I want more detailed and updated replies by everyone.
So here's the problem:About a couple of weeks ago, my car CEL started flashing and putting the car into limp mode. Sometimes it will limp for a few seconds and jump back into normal mode and sometimes it actually shuts off the engine. It got worst from there quickly. As time went by,it just got to the point where the car just keeps dying now. The CEL does not come on anymore. The car just dies,usually when I am in neutral or when I'm not on the gas. Now the car is very hesitant to start but it actually does once in a while. I actually got to start it the other day, but it died on me after I drove the car 10 yards. So the car cranks/chokes but there is no spark a lot of the times. But like I said, once in a while,it actually starts. So before I get to working on the car, I need to know every single thing that can be the problem. I want to know anything and everything that you guys think so I can list all the possible problems and eliminate them to find out what the real problem is. And sorry about being so noob. I don't believe it could be the ignitor,because if it was,then my car wouldn't be able to start at all right. It either works or doesn't work right? I don't have any leaks,MAP is fine and connected,idle is right. Do you guys think it could be spark,fuel pump,fuel pump relay,idle solenoid,iat? What do you guys think? I need HELP now. Thanks guys.
