hey guys im having trouble with my 1j. i thought maybe it could have been the ecu capacitors so i took it to driftmotion to get them worked on. still the same problem at start up runs like crud. misfire, white smoke, and fuel coming out of the exhaust. then it runs fine just at about 1100 idle. then after running for about 20-25 minutes then the same problem :icon_conf so im wondering maybe i should just replace the entire ecu

do you have another 1j friend you can swap your ecu into his car, to see if its yours or not? Don't put his into yours just in case you have a wire gremlin or something.

White smoke on startup = valve guide seals? Mine does that...

1100 idle = vac leak somewhere?

What injectors/fuel pump are you running?

...... REPLACED THE ECU. I CALLED DRIFTMOTION AND HE SAYS 2 OUT OF 10 ECUz that get recapped are still fried. got another ecu and the car runs fine.
