what about this as a DD? it's small...probably pretty lightweight. dunno how good or safe though...or the mileage.

Those have high center of gravities and are very prone to flipping over. All I can say is don't turn the wheels too fast or try to corner hard.

I've never not had a 2nd car as long as i've had the supra. Always no matter what even if my car has been reliable i always have the 2nd one ready.

first was a subaru but it died, then a tempo and it was utter crap, then an audi, then a corolla (sold it cus it was purple), and now i finally settled w/ a pathfinder.

Looking to sell the truck and get something else, i get bored driving the same car for more than a year.

i cant seem to keep beaters beaters as i tend to modify them and the gas mileage is about equal on my little toyota pickup and the supra. i usually just drive whichever has gas in it at the time.

lol i do the same

drive the supra till it runs out, hopefully the 07 g5 has some gas in it lol...

havent driven the supra for a while though since teh targa leaks and its been raining

Beater is in front of Supra in sig. In the city she is ~24 mpg and ~30 on the highway. The blower hurts the mileage if you are having any fun. It's reliable and comfortable and that's all that matters.

If I were looking for a beater on a budget I would go for an 80's Celica. They have the rear wheel drive fun with the 4 cylinder economy. And when you get bored the 7M or 1J fits in there too.:)

EDIT: this is what I would buy... http://toronto.craigslist.ca/car/460818991.html

loser. our money isn't depreciating THAT much.

lol....

7m's and jz's fit in celicas? no way...

i'd like an AE86 corolla for a DD...maybe. not sure. there is one locally that I saw in some guy's backyard..so i asked him if he was doing anything with it. low and behold he still drives the damn thing - no go. haha.

yeah... but what about awd cars? I'd love to see a strong gz or gte in an AWD car...

aren't most or just about all AWD cars longitudinally opposed setups? if that's not the right term, i mean - with the engine's shaft pointing left and right rather than toward the rear.

Skyline is longitudinal and AWD. So are Lamborghinis(well the AWD ones anyway).

Transverse is sideways.
