I couldn't find a tire rating thread so I thought I'd post it here.

Looking at - Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport - 225/50ZR16

Spiriting driving/commuting.

Thanks guys.

My only experience with Bridgestone is with the RE050A Pole Positions which I think are excellent tires. However, I don't think mine are in the same class as the ones you are looking at. I would suggest reading the reviews on tire rack and comparing them to other similar tires.

So according to the chart on pg. 1, 17x9's w/ +25 offset all around will fit right?

Tires are 245 front and 275 rear, and I'm lowered with H&R's and Tokico's.

Front will fit. Rear might stick out a bit with that tire size, or be really flush. You will need a roll all around for sure though.

ok i checked a week or so ago and someone provided a link with pics of 19's on Supraforums. thanks.

But now my rims showed up and they sent me the wrong sizes...

Ordered 19 x 8.5 and 9.5's with 35 offset. Intended on 235/35 and 275/30's.

But showed up is 19x10.5 and 19x9.5. :1zhelp:

Or did I measure wrong, last I checked its from one side of the rim to the other, w/out the tire on.... am i doing it wrong? I thinky they sent me wrong sizes.

But lets say i keep these (don't want to deal with shipping, not certain of how reputable the seller is either)....

will this work... 19x9.5 with 235/35 fronts and 19x10.5 with 275/30 rears. All 35 offset....

I don't really want the looks of a tread patch that appears alot more narrow than the rim (at least not for the rears anyways). I calc'd the tread width and I thought I came out at 10.88inch tread width for 275's.... So I figured that would make the tire sidewall look 'flush' with the rim's edge. But am I wrong? I see pics of 275's on 9.5inch rims and that looks pretty flush. Rim an inch wider may look 'angled' and I was trying to avoid this. Why is this, because the tread 'wraps' around just a tad once its installed? Or am i just nuts and the tire sidewall will still look fairly flush with the rim's edge as I intended.

oh yeah, the car is lowered tokico blues and H&R springs... but that's why i got THIN side walls..... hopin' they fit under the fenders not too bad. :nono:

IIRC, if you measure from outer edge of wheel to outer edge of wheel, it's 1" wider. so a 9.5" wheel would measure 10.5" from outer edge to outer edge. correct me if I'm wrong.

EDIT: found this pic:

wow, ok - well that would make sense why i'm getting the measurements i am... huh.

guess i never really bought rims and measured them before having tires mounted before.

So then 9.5inch rear with a 275 will look pretty flush (rim edge vs tirewall) then, no

Just wanted to double check that all the wheel sizes and offsets listed are somewhat "perfect" fits? like no rubbage or grindage issues whatsoever?

Coz I'm particularly interested in the 18x9.5 setup. As if the 9.5's dont clear properly I'll go for 8.5's.

I'm also looking to get all 4 wheels the same size, nothing against bigger rears, I'm just not a fan.

18 x 9.5 will work with no rubbing if you have the stock suspension but it also depends on the offset but 35 seems to be a good for all 4

You will probably have to roll. Actually I am pretty sure you have to roll. Also what tire size are you thinking of running? because anything larger then a 255 in the rear will probably stick out.

i was thinking 235 40 or 245 40 in front and at least 265 35in the rear. i want it to be flush with the fender and without a roll of the fender so what offset would i need. the rims i was looking at only come in 32mm and 35mm offset for one set and 20mm and 25mm offset for another set.
