Well shit! I even went to a wheel store today and I still got confused. And of course adding spacers will only increase the negative offset (make them stick out further). Shy of getting narrower tires, I don't have a choice if I stay with these wheels.

If they are not sticking out too much as they are now you could have them widend on the inside to to able to run wider tires or stretching the tires you have now so they will clear your fenders.

My rims are 10" and +14 so they stick out a bit but with rolled fenders they should be ok. I imagine that my wheels could have 1½" added to the inside making it possible to run 295s instead of 255s.

Yup. But if you think about it.. then that would be like a 11" +45 haha. <-- just a round number.. I don't feel like thinking haha.

I'll be ordering a set of identical rear wheels that are -11 offset from what I have now. I'll be going from +28 offset in the rear to +17 offset in the rear. The front is still +27, although I may change that offset too.

Adam

You don't need a wheel with a different offset. You just need narrower tires.

A negative offset means the mounting surface of the wheel is behind the centerline of the rim. So for your rear setup of +28, you won't have a negative offset until you add a 29mm spacer. Then you'll have a -1 offset.

Cmon guys think about it. No way in hell is he talking about $400 to mount and balance. He said "$400 + Mounting and balancing." That little "+" means hes spending $400 (I guess for new rear tires) AND whatever it cost for mounting and balancing.

New wheels I just got. 18x8.5 in the front with a 245/35 on it and 18x9.5 in the rear with 275/35 on it. Haven't spent any money on suspension yet because my money is going towards another part of the car first. So I still have a 4x4 Supra. Sorry about the cell phone pics, my girlfriend stole my camera.

anybody have this same setup with a lowered supra? i'm running on tokico blues/eibach pro kit...i'm looking to go 18x9.5 +35 (they don't offer any different offset :3d_frown:) all around. or would 8.5 in front and 9.5 be better? anybody feel any difference in staggered vs same all around?
