Heres my current setup, 5zigen FN01rc's 17x9 with 225/40/17 up front and 17x10 with 245/45/17 out back. If I remember the offset in the front is +20 and the rear is +12

They rub a little but I have it lowered the most I can for now. Only on hard bumps it rubs but not bad.. I plan to roll the fenders and pull the rear out a bit

Hey alex can you upload some more pics of those xxr 521's, Ive been wanting that style for about a year but never knew how they would look on a mk3. Im definitely liking them. Plus what is your suspension setup?

How would Rpf1 17x8 +45 17x9 +45 work out on a 89 mk3

Go with 17x9 + 35 all round thats safe and wont rub at all depending on tire, 225/45 17 is what I have on my 17x9+35 and wont rub at all, check the post above me even he clears with 18x10+25 all round

18/10 25 here to 255 front and 265 rear. 275 fits fine in back as well. 265 up front rubs when super slammed. Can fit 295 rear and 285 front if the slam in not super aggressive.

Thinking of lowering my car more with the 17x9+35's 225/45/17 but they look like they will definitely rub, it's quite weird... I assume they will naturally come in camber wise the lower you go correct ? drft's pics is where it's getting me confused, his fit but with mine they look as if they will go directly on to the fender when I drop it more...

Camber will change but not as much as you think.

With those sizes you should have any rubbing issues other than the fender liner over bigger bumps.
And your tires are stretched so unless your car is basically on the ground your never going to hit the wheel with the fender unless on some stupid shitty suspension.
