17X9 +25 -- 255/40/17re-11 - tested on stock/parts car - I used a skid and a tractor with forks to simulate full compression while testing full lock, IIRC I had a 1/2 a fingers width clearance to the frame rail

On the actual car I will run some tein master balance(?) coilovers which offer about a 1.5" drop leaving 2 fingers of tire to body arch clearence

So, I am looking at a set of wheels and am curious how well these would fit. I would like as much tire as possible and don't want to do anything beyond the basic stretch.
18x9 +31 FRONTS 18x10.5+ 43 REARS

Would these work with any kind of tire at all?

just fitted some new wheels today
XXR 527 18x9.75 all round +20 rear +24 (custom) front.
265/35 rear, 235/40 front

Just wondering, is your suspension very firm? Mine are close to that position in the wheel well and I noticed mine rub at higher speeds if I get on a "rolling" highway (small hills). Or did you roll your rear quarters?

I have fairly firm springs and usually he dampers are 70-100%. both front and rear fenders are rolled also. no rubbing at all with this set up apart from big dips in the road at higher speeds (like you describe) but very minor.

Noob question that I could probably leaf thru 300 pages to answer, but: If your offset is higher, your wheels protrude more, correct? That said, is there a point at which you want to cap the offset or is it more a matter of taste for the appearance you like?
For example, I found a set of 17x7 5x114.3 with a 47 offset. I am thinking I should be looking more in the 35mm offset range?

The higher the offset, the LESS the wheel protrudes.
So, the wheels you listed, are stock width, with a higher offset, therefore will be 10mm more "sunk in" than stock wheels.

Eeeewwww.....
Glad I asked. Thanks for saving me a grand.
OR.... can they be shimmed? At the end of it all, it is only half an inch. Will spacers or shims help bring some of that back out?

Also, off-set spacers to bring them BACK OUT are going to ADD WEIGHT and potentially reduce STUD ENGAGEMENT... possibly needing longer studs. BOTH add weight, and would be MUCH better strategy to get PROPER OFFSET for your desired "stance" or "look", I should think...

Why compromise?

Ok so ive done some research looking around, and i think what i have picked out will work but i wanted to ask and make sure.

sportmax xxr 521 wheels 18x8.5 +25 in front, 18x10 +25
they also make them with a +35 offset for the 8.5 and a +12 for the 10 inch wheels.

for tire sizes i wanted to do 245/40/18 in the front and 275/35/18 in the rear.

right now its on stock suspension, but i was gonna get eibach springs for it which will lower it 1"-1.5" or so.

does anyone see any problems with this setup, and if i would need to roll the fenders or anything?
and what do you think would be the best offsets to go with?
im new to the supra scene and offsets are kinda confusing still.
