Leave, run out the door! I've been there longer than you and I should have done this a long time ago. I hate the fact that I know how to do too many damn things there. I'm basically a cashier/loader/meat dept./dairy/cart pusher, with a little produce on the side.

^ Nice... I remember those days.

Radiologic Technologist. $23/hr, 10 hr days so 2 hours are time and a half... Basically I sit in a surgery suite and do fluoro when the surgeons needs it... 2 hour case, maybe 4-5 mins of fluoro. So I sit on my ass and do nothing. I love it because I'm not in 100+ degree heat, there are the occasional hot nurses, and I can surf SupraMania when I'm not busy. Now I get to teach the students also, thats always good for some laughs.

I usually work overnights at a gas station. I can't complain at all really. Pay isn't substantial to what i would like (thats why i am in school for political science) but all i do basically is sit with my guitar at the register for 6 hours and play. I usually work 9 hour shifts and those 3 hours are just walking around eating candy :D
oh, and i work for Raptor Racing on the side :)

Im a part time autocad tech at a land surveying company and a full time student. I make $13 an hour but it boring as hell sitting at a desk for 8-10 hours straight. And over time is anything over 8 hours in a day so I get lots of it which makes up for it being boring.

Computer Consultant <== Yes, that's an actual career, not just in the movies.
Actual title is Client Application Specialist. I specialize in Billing systems for Cable, Data and Telephony companies; basically your cable office offering their Triple Play.

I worked at Toys 'R' Us for 5 years and two months (just enough to make sure I was vested in my 401k) back in the early 90s while going to college; and to answer Jeff's question, yes, anybody that works at TRU can give you first dibs on unopened Hot Wheel boxes - I used to do it all the time.

I play StarCraft and read forums for $10 an hour. I haven't done any real work in the past 3 weeks. My coworker went 5 weeks without doing anything once. If I don't show up I still get paid, but I try to be on time so that I don't feel guilty. As a student, its hard to beat the flexibility of an on-campus job.

+1 to that.

When I lived on campus at University of the Pacific, I did work study in my dorm. I was the guy that sits at the desk and checks out equipment and unlocks rooms for people who locked them selves out. That was about it. 90% of the time, I was just studying, browsing the net, watching movies, or playing games. Basically everything I normally do in my room, except I was getting paid to do it sitting at the dorm desk instead.

Sweat deal it was, especially for a student who could use that time to keep up with hw and studies.

I had to show up though, obviously.

Well I am officially an Engineer again. I interviewed today, and the guy was drooling over my resume, and I aced it! We talked for around 2 hours, and I had only been home about ten minutes, when he called an asked it I can start in the MORNING! My boss where I work now is going to shit a brick. I may have to work both jobs for a few weeks to work out a notice. I am very excited about it though. I am a Civil/Geological Engineer.

I am currently a Support Consultant for a Financial Planning Software company. I have just been offered a permanent position (have been a contractor for 12 months)... This is absolutely incredible as they only make 4 people a year permanent, and to top it off, i have wanted to work for Macquarie Bank (who own the software company) since i was 14...

I absolutely love my job... No 2 days are the same, i am constantly learning, it's high-pressure, and the pay is fking awesome!!!!! If i continue working my ass off, i am headed for a 20% bonus + payrise + profit share early year :boobies: :boobies: :boobies:

Only downside is the hours... I am pulling roughly 15 hour days at the moment...
