I play StarCraft and read forums for $10 an hour. I haven't done any real work in the past 3 weeks. My coworker went 5 weeks without doing anything once. If I don't show up I still get paid, but I try to be on time so that I don't feel guilty. As a student, its hard to beat the flexibility of an on-campus job.
How can you not show up and still get paid?

I am currently a Support Consultant for a Financial Planning Software company. I have just been offered a permanent position (have been a contractor for 12 months)... This is absolutely incredible as they only make 4 people a year permanent, and to top it off, i have wanted to work for Macquarie Bank (who own the software company) since i was 14...

I absolutely love my job... No 2 days are the same, i am constantly learning, it's high-pressure, and the pay is fking awesome!!!!! If i continue working my ass off, i am headed for a 20% bonus + payrise + profit share early year :boobies: :boobies: :boobies:

Only downside is the hours... I am pulling roughly 15 hour days at the moment...

Hey who cares, if its going to eventually bring you somewhere u want to be, its worth it right?

I just got a job with Boeing, as a Manufacturing Technician on the 787.

after post-hire training(10 weeks) I'll be working 12 hrs a day 6 days a week mandatory, but I'll probly work 7, just because when you work both days of a weekend, the give you doubletime. heheh

more than decent for a 19 year old college student. hahah

and hey, I'm only working half the day! there 12 extra hours to be played with here!! hahah, I havent really slept that much since like... sophomore year of highschool. its a night job, so I'll go to school during the day, and sleep in between. I'll only be taking a couple classes per qtr, so it should all be fine..

I'll have to change shifts by next spring though, because my shift conflicts with EVERY local drift event, and i'm not going another year of not drifting(was too poor for RWD this year), so I'm gonna try to switch to day shift, and take night classes, which arent nightly either, so it should be fine. hahah.
