Another Best Buy employee, full time Inventory Specialist/Merch/Loss Prevention. I actually love working there, just have to put up with a lot bullshit from the sales floor and customers who think their 42"+ TV will fit in a Civic or whatever. But you get awesome discounts on almost everything, I've gotten three raises in almost 2 years. Plus, I'm up for another raise in Nov. and should be moving up to the Senior position after the holidays, then become a Supervisor after, the guy that's doing it now leaves. ::Fingers Crossed::

But really am looking for a career in the racing industry as I went to school to be a machinist...Just that right now, especially during race season it's hard as hell to get a job in that field. So I'm milking the big blue box for all it's worth.

Currently unemployed. But a job I just applied for, which I'm pretty sure I'll get, is an electricians apprentice.

Before that I was a lube tech at speedee oil change for a year. I was wrongly accused of not doing my job by a boss thats not in the shop 8 hours of a 9 hour day. So he fired me. The guys I worked with told him otherwise and he changed his mind and called me wanting me to come back. I told him not in a million years. I was turning 59 hours a week and still only getting payed around $375 a week. :3d_frown:

Enterprise Architect.

It's amazingly like being drunk. Which doesn't sound bad. But ask a glass of water how it feels...

Pays about 5 or 6 times what most of you folks claim to make, which is the only reason I put up with it.

How are your claims any different then others?

I just got upgraded to a Project manager at a construction company. Previously a Dump Truck Driver/Equipment operator. If I make 5 to 6 times less then Supracentral then I can understand why he stays at his job.

I avoid Best Buy at all costs. At least here, it's ridiculous how hard they will try to pressure sell stuff.

Ya, I can imagine. My stores have been ok, but getting worse. When I started, Best Buy was very focused on providing great service and the best deals/prices. Now its turned into a store focused only on sales. IT BLOWS.

Good pay, GREAT discounts.

I, however did not sign up for being a high-pressured salesperson. I'd love to work there and simply help people out. Answer questions honestly and with integrity is my game. I've been getting write-ups about once a month and will soon be pushed out of Best Buy for not doing EXACTLY what they ask of me.

I could rant for days on end, but I'll leave it at... I used to love my job, when I wasn't hassled for not upselling and attaching unneeded products. Now I'm waiting to quit until I buy my car stereo/alarm at 60-75% off. I should save about 600-700 dollars and I'll spend around 300. :)

But seriously.... Fuck Best Buy.
