My uncle drove my '89 7m-ge and said he had it to 160 with a little left in fifth. But i think Thats a lie the fastest I have gone was 145 almost redline in fifth.
My friend was driving his 300zx when we were pulled over doing 130 in a 55... the cop asked why we were going so fast and my friend grinned and said, "well i got this car yesterday"... the cop was laughing so hard he let him off with only 10 over for being honestiwannadie said:

planted my speedo at 240km (140mi) racing some honda. I probably was going about 250. the honda guy bounced of his rev limiter... (I was having a bad day). i was bone stock at the time too....surprised i didn't blow my head gasket (the temp didn't rise ether). then again it was -30*C out.

Ive been over a buck20 with the stock suspension and it was a tad scary but I beat a 951 bad enough for it not to matter lol
Did 130mph playing Cat & Mouse with some toolbox in a late 90's BMW M3 after Chi2k6 last year all down I-65....STOCK SUSPENSION. Kind of scary...
The 164 I did was with a full aftermarket suspension...Feels just a little bit safer at high speeds.
When your adrenaline is rushing that fast, you don't realize how fast you're going.

I've been to 140 in a rental car. Still have the ticket from that one, got pulled over by the police in northern California. Never did pay that ticket, either...
I've been to ~120 in my Supras. Never really did any suspension work on them until I started on the Mk3, so they felt more than a little sketchy at that speed.

Actually, its not too far off for me. Speedo gear is for 4.11s and I have 4.3s

Yes, that is snow on the ground, and the targa is off with the windows down.

In the current 90 Daily. 110 - I was testing the drive shaft vibrations and at what speeds it gets better or worse. Other then that I mostly stay within 5 or 10 mph of the speed limit.
