How else could they have inspected the country without going through the right channels? I don't think he made an assumption. Intelligence agencies TOLD him that they were there. It's there job to be on top of that as a micromanaging president would fail miserably at his task of being the pres. They failed him by not having clear and precise intelligence and now we have the situation we do today.

There was no need to go through the UN we just did it to be polite instead of just going in ourselves.
What was the UN going to do, have a meeting about it? That's about all they ever seem to accomplish.

Which is hindered by playing nice with the UN etc. they have proven themselves almost completely worthless. We have to stop caring what everyone thinks about us and show them why we are #1.

The bee metaphor does not really work like that, in this case.. Your actually right on the "Kill the queen theory" as it pertains to real bees.. We are really talking about people here. A lot of people! Not all bad people, Many of them are good people like you and me. There are even some here on SM.

I'm not saying mass genocide of anything. If we get the governments of these countries to stand up and not tolerate waring factions, militias and insurgents, and unite the people of their countries. Then you have eliminated the enemies "hive"

If that means replacing current governments that do tolerate them with ones that don't. Then that's what it'll take to protect the people of those countries and the people of ours

Once they leave one country, then with the idea of "let someone else handle it" they're no longer the problem of the previous host country...but the new country. What if they overrun one country at a time until all that's left is us versus the world? I don't like those odds
