On the 7M upgrades I was inspired by Jeff Montigny, Rob Carlile, Dean Marcum, Larry Anderson and Niels Vangsoe.
On the JZ swap the only one who inspired me was Mike Urbano.
Now I'm building a JZ in a MA60 and I saw that first (in a decent swap) with Norbie.
I'm building two skylines for customers and I get a lot information from exvitermini and from Chris Wilson in the UK.

Dan Matoba's mk3 and Mike Urbano's mk3. Both were present at my first ever Supra meet. Ronnie B (#1Supraholic) still owns his and makes sure I'm always playing a catch up game to his mk3.

Those 3 inspired me to make my car what it is today ( :icon_lol: ... and I'm still nowhere near their league)

Awe c'mon now, Mike! You know I couldn't have done the things to the Supra without your help, but thank you for the kind comment(s)! You've surpassed my league and now I'm the one tryin' to catch up to you.

I saw an 85 with a 2jz's tail's from my firebird.....that got me into supras. I got an NA mk3. Then I met TurboA7mgte in madison, saw him floor it. I was impressed. Picked up the black 87 turbo. Then while sitting in a parking lot in the 90 NA, someone came up and told me theirs was for sale. Rod knock, BHG, but tons of BRAND NEW aftermarket goodies still IN BOX and a bunch of stock parts with it. I bought it. Maroon 88 turbo. I sold the NA for $3300, sold the black 87T to my dad for $3000, and got a new motor and more go fast parts for the maroon supra.

Then I saw Dr.J's brown car burnout pics. Inspiration to mod my maroon car more. I absolutely love his brown car.

Chuck Craig had the first fast Supra I ever rode in and I'll never forget the first time he showed me real boost, Dave Moskowitz for his extremely fast CT-26 upgrade, Richard Ford for his all-out road race MK3 the likes of which I've yet to see again, and Dean Marcum for his fast N/A. Old school inspirations...

Late 1986 watching the owner of Toyomoto stomp a triple carb 280Z on nitrous. That car was the fastest thing in Miami for a long time!!

I don't have any current inspirations on building my car, I kinda like to do my own thing.

But, back when I was looking to get a new car I was originally looking at 300zx TT's. Then I came across some Supras and found Dan McBoost's site, watched his video about 300 times. Met a guy in Hickory who had one and he let me drive it to see how I liked the car. So yea, Dan McBoost is probably the main reason I ever bought my MK3.

My inspirations came from Dave Boykin(dbSupra), Jeff Montigny, Kieth Hart, Dave Moskowitz, Dave Hall, Larry Anderson,Scott Mech, Geoff Mohler, Cully Patterson,John Lunsford (JBLMK3) & Kevin Martin. Their creativity,Knowledge, willingness to help & share information Has made my Supra what it is today. As I continue on the path I'm sure the list will get longer.

The MKIII that inspired me was the first one I ever drove. It was a black 89T with nothing more than a K&N and 3" exhaust that I was looking at buying. That feeling I got when I mashed the pedal of a supra for the first time got me. It wasn't just the power, it was feeling that turbo spool that hit me. After that I bought my '88 and started upon the well beaten path that most of us MKIII owners have followed. :bigthumb:

my friend Anthony pretty much inspired me to get a Mk3 the most. i had little to no interest in them at all, but when he bought one i got a ride along and wow it was sweet. after the ride along i searched to see how much they go for, and at first i didn't think i was going to be able to afford one, so i pedal'd back into 240s. But After 5 Months of work, i found a great deal on a MK3 and purchased it!

sad to say it but when i bought my supra i thought the only supra was the one from fast and furious. actualy i wouldnt have bought it if it hadnt been for my dad he saw it in paper and showed it to me, i was like meh thats the fast and furious car, i had no idea what an mkIII was i thoguht mkIV was only supra ever. so we drove out and i saw it and said huh thats a supra? i looked at it, reluctantly, looked at my bank account, i thought, at the time, i dunno, its pretty big. so i went for it withotu driving it, the drive home after i bought it i went 15mph the whole way so i never saw it perform. im just glad i didnt back out, oh man

so in short, my dad inspired me cus he said i should look at it, i was 16 and had just gotten license 2 months before that.
then i geuss fast and furious was next thing cus i thought that was the supra i was gonna see.
once i had it inspiration was this website, the whole community in general is what got me excited and i felt this car had something behind it.
and the car i hope to meet in greatness would be the car on this board that performs slightly better than mine and i'll just keep working my way up i geuss.

i'd say my inspriations is everyone here, and our love for these cars.

I have a camaro z28 and I was looking for a fast daily driver car. I was crusing with my brother when at the light there was a beatiful mk3 with body kit and bad ass rims. I didn't know if they were fast or not. He was with his girl on the car and looked at me and laughed. i told my brother I'm not going to waste my gas in this car cuz i thought it was like a Honda lol. When the light turned green I heard is blow off valve and then i decided to race him i let him jump and when i saw his bumber with a turbo emblem I hit it and we were pretty even 'til 2n gear and 3rd gear i started pulling hard and when i shifted to 4th gear it was all over i put 3 cars on him. The mk3 wasn't stock and neither my Z. I like the way the mk3 sounded so I did some research before buying one and I found out they can be fast with some minor mods.
