my main 3 were dan mcboost, mike urbano(still have the super street article with your car), and Bishops mk3s. all are great, and there are many more today, but these seem to be the ones that were in the scene for a while now.

Just checking because that "even though he was putting it in an MKII" comment seemed kinda... umm.... something. Guess I took it wrong, my bad. :icon_roll
Also, oneandgone's (Grant) car really made me want one... even though I never got to ride in it while we were in Chicago... it still looked awesome.

O, and the veiw from my rearveiw mirror of his foglights.... sexy as hell. This was interstate driving, not racing, obviously if he could keep up with me and be that close. :icon_razz

When I got my car, I had no intention of doing any performance upgrades.

Unfortunately, I met Adam (Jonez) and as he predicted, once I put on the Defcon with the cut-out, did pre and post install dyno runs, there was no turning back.

I really like the yellow cars myself. All that have been showcased on this thread are great.

I have to say though, that yellow with black moldings has always caught my eye (Suze, yes you).

I remember the mid to late 80's Prelude that came like that and always liked the looks.

I also really like white cars with black moldings.

I doubt I will ever change the color of my car (dark blue), since to completely change the color properly is a monumental and expensive task.

I plan on doing paint in the spring of 2007 and might very well entertain a modest body kit at that time provided there is something out there that I like.

Mike U and Larry A. Never have met Mike or saw his car in person, but Larry's is/was something to marvel at.

Oh, and I can't forget Jeff M. The first 4 mods I did to my original mk3 were written up by him (Cut airbox/k&N, SOGI CAI, TEMS firm, and the SOGI short-shifter). His old '89 was a beauty too

dr. j all the way. i was browsing through mkiii sites when i decided i kindof liked them. when i saw the brown car, i literally fell in love, a week and a half later, i bought my 86.5 for $820 off ebay, and havent stopped modding it since.

also, everytime i've emailed him, he's been more than helpful, and gives great deals on parts sales. overall, he's #1 in my book. he's ridiculously dedicated. www.4cefed.com and www.mkiiitech.com are fine examples. the brown car is so sexy, 89+ tails, wingless, hatch visor.

I always thought mkiii's were hot looking cars, and then a year ago I saw a pic of a black one that make me mess my pants...I can only find a photochopped version of it, and it was even more disappointing to find out that the whole picture is squished, but it is still my inspiration to build a badass mkiii

The car, loved them since i saw my first one in town when i was a little kid....

Dr.J has a plethera of info.

Ron has the best sounding mk3 and all the coolest techno geek equipment in his ride.

I wanted a supra....I couldnt afford the mk4 turbo. So i went to the next thing with an INLINE 6 TURBO....the mk3 supra.....sounds pretty much the same hehehehe

.....In all honesty...the reason i got into supra's was because the SOUND of a turbo inline 6 motor.....

I AM OBSESSED about skyline GTR's....especially the drag ones....they just sound MEAN....Exvitermini's skyline GTR was the FIRST car i ever loved really....that got me started on turbo cars....then i figured if i couldnt get the RB26DETT over here....nor the car....i could go the the other ride with the again, inline 6 turbo.

I just stumbled onto other peoples websites and searched and found all the info I needed...

then i got a BHG and a great job....and built my ride....LOL

thats my story in a nutshell. :drink1:

Dan Matoba's mk3 and Mike Urbano's mk3. Both were present at my first ever Supra meet. Ronnie B (#1Supraholic) still owns his and makes sure I'm always playing a catch up game to his mk3.

Those 3 inspired me to make my car what it is today ( :icon_lol: ... and I'm still nowhere near their league)

I guess the people that caused me to modify MY car are Ron R, yea... thats about it... I never really liked others car's... I saw ron's and was like HOLY SHIT, almost stock body yet it looks so clean... Thus, I have a Fomex lip in my basement that someday I will install.

the 1jz idea... I convinced myself.

There are so many noteworthy Supras, but the most inspirational for me has been Ron Ramirez's car. I love the "nearly stock" look of the body, along with subtle hints like the meaty Kinesis K58R wheels and Brembo brakes poking through the wheels that this car means serious business. He also has a very high attention to detail (see his in-dash boost gauge for example) and he gets even more respect from me for doing it all himself. Way to go Ron.

I think the most tastefully-bodykitted car is Manny's.
