I know Lance, I def got the idea to build the trans kit from him, but I wouldn't call him an inspiration, all he did for me was put me down in the conversations I had with him when I asked for information while I was making my kit.

Dave def had his stuff together before a lot of people. Heres a link to his old page:

Arnout VanDerKamp for inspiring me to get started on the 2JZ=> MkIII swap
Orin [OB1] Bivens and his mean 1.5JZ
Reg Reimer for his site - actually e-mailed me and was patient during my 7M newbie first year of ownership
Mike Urbano for leading the pack of 1JZ swapped A70s in the USA.. and for having a gorgeous car

There was one more person.. I don't remember their name. They have a black MkIII with a 7M that has a front-facing intake manifold [which cleans up the look of the 7M considerably]. It has a TRD emblem on one of the front grilles. The whole interior was clean and black, with aftermarket black seats and harnesses. The car is really stunning.

Yeah, he is most definately talking about Ron R's car! I've had the privalege of seeing and hearing that car in person, and it is nothing short of perfection! His attention to detail, and his love of the MkIII, are both glaringly apparent. Alot of us here in the Pacific NW, are waiting in great anticipation, for the regional meet in Portland, this summer, where Ron,(with considerable prodding from Duane!) is expected to turn up the boost considerably, and should make gargantuan hp&torque #'s! As if 533whp isn't already huge!

Duane's car(upgraded Supra) is totally freakin' awesome too! And he will quite possibly eclipse Will Neely's #'s this summer.  :boink:

SupraRacer's and a70's old Burgandy N/A's are good examples of the direction I would like to take with my car. Too bad they both got wrecked. :(

What has enspired me to own a Suppie? Well owning an 83 was the beginning of it for me. But after the engine blew my hopes all to pieces I found the little number I'm driving.. well.. working on now. Who's car would I mod mine like and take inspire from? Dan, the name says it. You all know who he is. There are a few others I admire for thier taste in style. I just dont have the area to name all of them. Most reside on these forums. All you have to do is take a close look around.

The one who pointed me to these forums was Malloy. Thank God for those forums as well.

The guy who inspired me, if I can remember his name right, was Sofro from California. He had twin t03s or t04s something like that. And Mike Urbano.

Oh and I forgot to mention my biggest inspiration...John Prescott. Never a forum poster I dont think. I hear he was on some of the very old email lists. I met him at The Meet 2. He gave me a ton of help and to this day things that didn't make sense then are dead on today.

When I first bought the car I met Jeff Montigny, he turned me on to the SOGI site...........

.......Oh, and I can't forget Jeff M. The first 4 mods I did to my original mk3 were written up by him (Cut airbox/k&N, SOGI CAI, TEMS firm, and the SOGI short-shifter). His old '89 was a beauty too
I pretty much did all of his SOGI mods too.

When I saw Mike Urbano's blue car in Super Street that pretty much did it for me, I knew I wanted to build up the MKIII.

I saw a picture of Sofro's car and knew that was the stance I wanted:

In November '02 I stumbled across SupraForums while doing a web search and thought I hit the jackpot. The first car I found on there that did it for me was Mello's car, I thought it was so cool because he had so many custom features, then I saw Manny's car and being it was red, it became the inspiration to build mine. His car was my screen saver for a long time.

And definitely a big thanks goes out to Dr. J, he's was such a big contributor of knowledge for me, always willing to answer all of my questions. :drink1:

Other inspirations for engine bay were Duane's, Ron's and Ultra's.

The only cars that "inspire" me to work on mine are all the POS MK3s I see in real life and on the forums. Makes me want to show folks that not every MK3 owner is a ghetto ass kid.

Actually, I saw a white mk3 with all black rims with a red lip a few years before that and so that did it for me. That and GT2.

For my webpage, I'd say sileightymania had the most influence.

For me it was love at first sight with the MKIII. However it was DanMcBoosts video that first showed me what the Supras true potential was. Also, DrJonez, Bishop(where the hell has he been?), BecauseIcan, and JBLMK3 are some of the people that continually inspire me to keep expanding my knowledge of this great car. However as strange as it is. It's Jeff Lange's car that I really love. I'm not sure what it is exactly but I think it's just awesome how clean and stock looking his car is. So props to you and your car Jeff. There are several more people that I'm in awe of, for both their cars and their contributions to the community. But those listed above are at the fore front of my mind.

A few things inspired me. Our whole family are car freaks. I wanted to be the fastest. I was actually going to get a R32 until I stumbled across the original Supramainia web site. In Aus R32's are like assholes whereas Mkiii's are like 21 Year old virgins. I love being the odd one out.

Definately the old web site inspired me the most. Seeing the amount of power you can produce from BPU was very cool.

Oh and of course the fact its not a Honda.
