Hey, I resemble that remark!

And Ive said it before and I'll say it again, when a "hobby" car gets to be more cost and less fun than its supposed to be, its time to sell it. But I dont think Ken is in that boat just yet.

No it's nowhere near that point. I'm pissed I can't really do anything with it right now. I sit in it on occasion just to listen to the radio. I think I'm due for a re torque though.

Ken, there is no hurry to work on the car at this point right? I mean its not going anywhere and its not costing anything really to just sit there right? So let it sit on the back burner for while until you are healthier and in a better state of mind for it (not to mention maybe have some money to set aside for it). Be thankful you arent living in a house thats been sold from under you, that has all the utilities turned off, with a psychotic roommate and his alcoholic girlfriend, as you try desperately to rebuild a cursed supra while you are 2000 miles from your support network...THEN, you can have a WeezL thread, LOL :)

Oh God I'd forgotten all about that crap you were going through outside of the Lucy situation. Damn! Glad you're away from that.

There's no hurry to work on it outside of my own inpatience. But it'll have to wait. :(

Besides I'm more unconfortable than in pain. My shoulder and arm feel "tired" most of the time.

No there's no doc error. My neck was really fucked up and the nerves around C7 were compressed bad and he still thinks the pain/discomfort is coming from the nerves healing.

When Jay had his back surgery, the doctor told us that he could have pain for several weeks because of the tissue swelling around the site of surgery. If you think about it, that would be putting pressure on the area where the nerves were compressed. Just my 2 pennies.

Hope you get to feeling better

Oh, and I hope you get your car figured out.:icon_bigg

yes as Vixen said there is always going to be swelling in that area. Nerves take a long time to return to normal, and physical therapy will help alot.

lol, I know the feeling of going out and just sitting in a car like that, thinking about the possibilities, etc. but hey, its better than cruising Craigslist every night and in every city for 300 miles dreaming about cars you know you cant have........:nono:....

I had that happen in my 88 IROC, scared the piss outta me and left me with 4 flatspotted Goodyear eagles to boot.

Yeah, could be some residual swelling in there, didn't think too much about that.

Well the odd thing is the doctor told me I should not be having these problems. My partner at work had the same surgery last November and has not had the same issues. Everyone is different I know. We'll see how it goes. I just really hate being limited. Aleve or 800 mg of Ibuprophen work wonders though.
I'll get my car figured out I have no doubt, I just fear what I might figure out!
Thanks for well wishes V, coming from pretty ladies make it mean more.;)

A constant fear of mine. I always check my hood before I drive off. :biglaugh:

I still do the craigslist thing everyday. It's almost as addicting as SM.

LOL, yeah I'll do that just as soon as I have the 16k he wants for it. No offence to the guy at all, but that just a tiny bit rediculous. I would be lucky if I can manage the $800 Im looking at paying for a '84 I got a line on.

haha, he can sit there with a beer and watch you wrench on it.. jk!

If it was me as much as it sucks and you know I've been there myself. just sit back and try to recover. after my surgery I was outside in four days fixing the front end of my DD. hurt like hell. took many meds to feel better.

just take it easy and when your back on your feet %100 then you can really get back on it.

Why would you be so Cruel?????????????

First you fix his car, and then he feels up to going for a drive. He steps on the gas, the turbo boosts, the heads gets thrown back, and now he needs 4 more weeks to recover. Some friend you are!
