The Other Brother Ken,
I lurk always. I too am glad you and your car are running smoothly.

Thanks.

Today a bad pain day. I worked yesterday and my bed at work is less than comfy so that made for a rough night and we didn't even get any calls all night long. I'm about ready to go pop the "good stuff".:icon_mad:

I kinda like gtsKen.

How many other hibernating supra owners can we wake up?:biglaugh:

WOW The Ken!! How in the hell did you drag both of these strangers into this thread?

I may have had something to do with that!!!:icon_bigg

I think it is safe to say we are all still here even though we take some time off from posting every now and then. It is nice when we can all get together in a thread though.

^Shouldn't you be working on a Supra? Damn painting a truck! Last guy who did that has been lost for quite some time. I think that guy's last post about a Supra was sometime in early 2007.

BTW............Where's Jay?

FighterKen, good luck getting these postwhores on topic.

DaSoup, good luck getting Lanette to go for this whole supra project.

Noah, good luck helping Scott with his tuning.

Well today was such a beautiful day I decided to take a drive out to the cemetery where my mom is at. It had been a while since we visited.
I snapped some pics with my cellphone while I was there.

it's kinda weird to take pics of cars in a cemetery, but i have done it a few times before when there are nice flowers out.

Kinda weird? It's very weird!:biglaugh:

I was looking around thinking how pretty that cemetery is and then looked at my car and being a true Supra owner, saw a photo op waiting to happen. My mom would've laughed and then asked for a ride.:icon_bigg

Her grave is the one with the iron cutouts of the little boy and girl, meant to represent my sister and I. God I miss her.:wtc: She died Sept 29, 2002 at 8:32 pm.

Here is my favorite picture of her taken in 1963 when she was 19 years old. She copied the picture for me and wrote a note on the back as well.

This past Christmas I scanned in over 350 photos on my computer, then using Adobe Premiere made a movie set to music. I then wrote it to DVD and gave it to everyone for Christmas. My favorite photos was one of my taken when she was going to school at Purdue just after WWII. It was a black and white that was hand colorized. She was a very pretty young woman, I can see why my dad married her.

Well I drove down to Granbury, a little city south of me, to meet a friend for lunch. It's about 50 something miles from my house. I decided to take the Supra since he hadn't see it. After I got to his office he came out to take a look and I unlocked the passenger door with my key and low and behold my factory alarm went off!!! That's the first time I have ever seen it work. The security light on my dash never lights up so I didn't think it worked. Hmm. For some strange reason I was excited about that. I was able to turn it off by unlocking the drivers door.

So after lunch, since I used to live down there, I decided to do a drive by at my old house. On the way out there when slowing down to take turns, my car would stumble and then the CEL would flicker. When I say slow down I'm talking about taking these turns at about 15- 20 mph. I'm far from home so I get worried it's going to crap out on me.

Luckily I made it home but along the way going through Weatherford the car stumbled again and the CEL came on and stayed on for about 10 seconds. After I got home I checked my codes with the supermonitor and I have a CODE 14. Now I know that's ignition signal problems.
So my question is...I know my CPS wires are going bad inside the CPS and sometimes I have to wiggle them to get it to start, so would that cause my CODE 14? I've already replace the CPS plug on the harness side and have known I probably just need to get another CPS. For what it's worth, the car would only stumbe at low RPM's and while going over bumps.

Can someone confirm my suspicions? I've searched Code 14 but everybody talks about coil packs and ignitors.

Ken, I'm just in from 3 days in Atlanta watching my REDS take it on the chin from the Braves for 3 straight days. I wish I could help you with this one. My "buddy" in Atlanta and I no longer speak, so I can't really help you with him anymore. I could give you his e-mail though. His CPS work seems to be top notch.

Well I'm relatively sure that's my problem but I was wanting some confirmation just to make myself feel better.

The car is officially parked until further notice. I drove it to work Saturday morning since there would be no traffic and it did great the 50 miles there. Sunday morning on my way home it died on me a couple of times. Once after coming to a stop right after I exited the freeway and then again while turning into my driveway. Luckily for me it fired right back up both times. It stumbled several times in between at traffic lights.

Because of my surgery, I've had no flights with my part time job, so I have ZERO dollars to fix it right now, so it may be a while. It really really really needs some brake pads too but I don't want to mess with that until I have the money to just go ahead and replace the struts.

Well who the hell knows when I'll be able to fix mine. I just a cps from Justin but don't know when I'll be able to replace it. My supra fund is completely bankrupt, my right shoulder and arm are still killing me, and the last time I started the car the bird cage was lit up and it's half a quart low on oil. Don't know where the coolant went since I never see puddles or smell it burning. I could not handle a huge mechanical set back right now, it would send me right over the edge.

Went to my doc today and will have to start physical therapy. He told me it takes about 8 weeks for the grafts in my neck to heal so I've got about 3 more weeks and if I'm still in pain/discomfort after the 8th week and PT then we'll go for another MRI. I'm tired of this shit, piss piss moan, bitch bitch.

Damn Ken, This is starting to sound like a Weezl thread! I really hope you get to feeling better. Hopefully there is not anything else wrong, or doctor error'd. And, you hopefully just need to burp that radiator. Make sure you keep that oil topped off, and check it daily when you can. As old as it is, it's gonna leak or consume some oil. Also check your overflow bottle. If it is empty, you will get the cage. After reading again (and typing), was it low on oil or coolant? or both?

slap the doc for more meds, darvocet *sp* popping those like candy when I had my jaw hacked up.

Oh I've got plenty of Lortabs left but I don't like taking them. Last time I was on them I got an infraction on here from AF1JZ for saying what was on mind in a For Sale thread and got in trouble elsewhere too.

Besides I'm more unconfortable than in pain. My shoulder and arm feel "tired" most of the time.

No there's no doc error. My neck was really fucked up and the nerves around C7 were compressed bad and he still thinks the pain/discomfort is coming from the nerves healing.

Low on coolant and 1/2 quart low on oil. I've driven almost 1000 miles I think and checked it before I started it almost everytime. Overflow bottle is not empty but didn't really notice how much was in there. The oil is still very clear.

Well hopefully I won't run into the problems weezl had. Because of my surgery and my inability to work on the car this thread has turned more into a blog for myself to piss and moan. I'm even getting sick of me. :)

Hey, I resemble that remark!

And Ive said it before and I'll say it again, when a "hobby" car gets to be more cost and less fun than its supposed to be, its time to sell it. But I dont think Ken is in that boat just yet.

Ken, there is no hurry to work on the car at this point right? I mean its not going anywhere and its not costing anything really to just sit there right? So let it sit on the back burner for while until you are healthier and in a better state of mind for it (not to mention maybe have some money to set aside for it). Be thankful you arent living in a house thats been sold from under you, that has all the utilities turned off, with a psychotic roommate and his alcoholic girlfriend, as you try desperately to rebuild a cursed supra while you are 2000 miles from your support network...THEN, you can have a WeezL thread, LOL :)
