Well I finally got all the wiring harnesses that I wanted off the blue car. They were difficult to say the least. I can't wait till I put it all in the white car:nono:
A pic of them hanging off my engine hoist. Yes I know the garage is trashed and it's mostly all supra parts and crap.

Blue car interior. I had to pull part of the hvac to get the main harness out. There's got to be an easier way. Anybody?

Nice progress!!

What does that sticker on your driver's door panel say?

It says the same thing everybody else's door panels says........................"Turn key for one hell of a ride, then shovel in cash as fast as you can"

Good to see you finally got that harness out Ken. But do you still have enough motivation to do it all again, then do an install? I don't envy you a bit. Take a step back if you need to between stages, and stick with it. There is no urgency other than anticipation, but that should be enough.

I'm counting on you to set the bar very high for a certain ????????????other gay blue owner.

At this very moment I do NOT have the motivation to do it again, so I will have to take a break. I won't attempt that install until after the blue car is gone. Then I'll start tearing the white car apart. I'm thinking of even swapping the headlight washers also. I have two other good header panels with the plumbing. I really want that 3.91 LSD too but don't know if I'm that desperate to try and remove it. Still trying figure out how to get the power antenna mast down so I can remove it.

If you ask me, that other gay blue owner is really setting the bar. He's tearing down the entire car?!?!!?!?!?!????!!! I don't have near that amount of motivation so he won't have to worry about any one uppins from me. :icon_razz

So close but yet so far.:nono:

Getting closer to having the engine paid off and also assembled. Each time I go to give him some money I give him parts to put on so I won't have to do it. The exhaust and turbo are on now. I haven't seen it yet but I will on Tuesday. I might just take the entire intake, fuel rail and injectors along with the wiring harness to him too. That way it will be ready to just drop in when I bring it home. I'm lazy I know but oh my aching back. It will be enough work putting it in and also doing the harness swap behind the dash. I am and am not looking forward to it.
Peace.

Ken, If you can swap that harness, there's not really anything you can't do. The LSD is not really that difficult. The hardest part is getting the axles loose from it once the bolts are off. The rest is cake if you have a good jack to handle the weight of it.

All of the external motor parts are pretty easy with the motor out of the car. Don't spend too much money getting those done.

The LSD and a couple of other misc things are all I have left to get off the blue car. The problem is time and motivation. I can't quite sync those two items together. Also having problems with my back causing my left leg to be very weak and on top of that, we're having problems with our son in school and at home. On top of that it's still so damn hot outside. To sum it up, when the planets get aligned right, I'll get this shit in gear. I'm going to go pay some more money on the engine tomorrow.

When I get rid of the blue car then I'll park Dirty White Boy in it's place and start tearing it down.

it'll cool off here soon.

what's going on with your back? sounds like maybe a pinched nerve?

I had one and I had to take anti inflammation pills along with muscle relaxers to finally get some rest and get it to heal...

I don't know what's wrong with my back yet. I have an appointment on Tuesday with a specialist. I'm hoping to get an MRI done soon. Right now I'm having to go through all the hoops so the insurance will pay for one. My lower back and left hip bother me a lot. I can't stand too long, and if I sit too long, part of my nutsack and inner thigh will go numb. Also bending over the fenders working on my car is torture. Sometimes my left leg will feel like spaghetti. This has been a source of high anxiety because I don't know what's going on. So I'm hoping they will find something (that they can fix) that will explain it all. My guess is herniated disk. My job requires a lot of heavy lifting so that doesn't help either.

Damn Ken, if part of my nutsack was going numb I'd be in the ER quick!!!!!!!!!!

As for your back, it has been years since you had to endure any of my landings so you can rule that out as the cause:biglaugh:

Hope you get better..

Craig.

Yeah, the Seneca II bouncy landings are catching up with me. Nobody can land that without a couple of bounces. Actually it's all the fat asses I've had to load in and out of those planes.

Well went by and paid some more money on my engine. I forgot to take the camera. I was going to take some pics with the turbo installed. Anyway after tallying up the amount of money I've spent and what I owe, I decided to not be so damn lazy and do the rest myself when I get it home. I'm sure I'll figure out all the vacuum lines and shit when I put the intake on.

Well this morning, just so I'd feel like I accomplished something, I removed the taillights, ignitor, resistor pack and something else I forgot from the blue car. I just need to get the diff off now but will wait till it cools off a little outside first.
It really breaks my heart to tear this car apart too.

Then I took the instrument cluster from the blue car and replaced the clock with the supermonitor display and button panel. I then took the boost gauge out and put in an na voltage gauge. It's from an 89 so of course the needle is different. That might just might bug me too much though. I'm thinking when I tear the dash out to replace the harnesses, I'll take the volt gauge out of it and put in the other one so it'll all look the same. Here's a pic of after, sorry no before.
