Here are some more pictures I took this evening. I took the sawblades off the blue one and vice versa the nasty chrome ones. I just washed it. I hate to admit it but it looks much better with the sawblades.

I can't get that brown shit off the bumper.

We have some wicked shit that we clean telephones with at work. Some of it will cut thru ink or paint and 20 years worth of womens make up. But, none of it will take coffee off a phone sometimes. When that happens, we grab the trusty bottle of Windex, and the shit runs off the phone in fear. Try some of that just for kicks on the bumper.

The car is looking very nice with those stripped blades on there. Some people don't realize what work goes into swapping two sets of wheels. I really like that stripe on that clean looking car.

BTW...check my thread tomorrow to see what just got parked in my backyard. I'm supposed to fix it, but I doubt he's ever getting this one back

It was an ass-whippin to swap those wheels. One small floor jack and a jackstand. It took me a couple of hours but it was worth it. It looks a lot better. I'll give that bumper a shot of Windex and see what happens. Let you know later.

Some pics of the fixed foglights. I replaced the foglights with the ones off of my 87. I sanded off some corrosion where the bulbs go in and then replaced the fuse and BAM! They work! I don't know why I'm so excited of something so minor but I am. I guess since it will be a while before I can get my engine back from the shop and in the car, every little thing I do is a milestone.
BTW, it does have a BHG and very slight rod knock but it runs and idles so smooth. Needs new shocks so the ride is very WAVY.

I kinda expected to come here and see "if Forcedtorque would send me that picture he promised, I'd get my fog lights fixed"

Anyway, the second picture looks best. You can't tell as much in that picture that the windex didn't work wonders on that bumper. LOL

What exactly is on the bumper? 3M Heavy Duty Rubbing Compound should get it off...it was able to take Black permanent marker off of my car...

And I noticed your pre-89 wing has no third brake light, and no hole in the wing...what's the deal with that? The new white one looks fantastic, BTW!

Are all of those decals stock?

Um yeah Scott, don't worry about that picture, I took care of it myself:icon_razz Oh, and I did try the Windex. If I would have taken the time to really scrub I think most of it would come off, but I was being lazy. I'll try again tomorrow.

Jonathan, I have no idea what that brown crap is. It looks like at one time the battery exploded so it could be that. I really don't know.
The graphics are stock and apparently were an accessory you could add. I found a sticker about them on the inside of the passenger door. They are in bad shape though and need to be removed.
Yeah, my wing has no light. I'm not sure if it came from the factory or was added afterwards.
Thanks for the comments. I think you are partial to white though ;)

Well I found out today that some pre-89's came pre wired for a supermonitor, so when I got home I checked my 86.5 and nothing. Went over to my 87 and whammo, I found the plug. Sooooo, what I am going to do is swap the harness into my 86.5 when I take the dash out to paint it. I've already lined up a supermonitor. Recovered my steering wheel today also, no pics yet. Here's one of the plug for the supermonitor. It's above the brake pedal tucked away. It's a crappy phone pic sorry.

nice old celi. i had an 85 gts about 2 yrs ago before i got my supra... that celi could handle!!!

nicely done interior, you brought it back!

Thanks man!! My GTS was very sweet, slow but sweet. When I got my ass handed to me by a skank with a cig hanging out of her mouth in an old Corsica, I decided to sell and go Supra.

The interior on my 86.5 is 95% better. Thanks for the comments.
