Well I haven't done much in the past week or so because of my now healed thumb laceration and the awful problems I've been having with my neck, back and left arm. I thought I had all the insurance stuff figured out so I could get going on my back problems but I was wrong so now it'll be another two weeks before I can get the MRI done. I can't begin to describe how uncomfortable I am and the nights are worse.

But today I decided to suck it up and piddle with the car a little. I swapped the manual TB with and auto TB today and got it all hooked up. It's using the same TPS. I get it cranked up and quickly realize something is f-ed up. I could not find my better camera so the audio on this video is crap again. I am not touching the accelerator at all. See video

So I decided to not mess with that anymore today because bending over the fenders was killing me. So I put that little plastic half shield thing back on the fuel tank and lowered the rear end off the jacks and called it a day. Now I'm sitting in front of the computer and the muscles in my neck and behind my shoulder blade are drawing up so every little movement causes pretty intense pain and then I feel burning pain go down my left arm. I have no drugs to take except ibuprophen so I think I may hit the beer, lot's of it.

Oh, forgot to tell yall I got a couple new toys in the mail. No pictures yet but I got a 3" elbow and downpipe!

I can't believe you were working on the car in your condition mate! You sound like you need to lay back, have a beer (or 10), then a warm bath and go to bed!!!!!!!!!!!!

We can't have you making it worse, because then we won't get updates!!!!!!

Neck, upper back, Arm??????? You should check out the description of Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. Honestly just about every ailment you have ever posted (yes all of them), have been very similar to problems that I have had myself, and usually happens pretty close to the same that I have them. I find this extremely weird. I saw a neurologist this week myself to see if he could do anything different with the T.O.S. that I was diagnosed with 10 years ago. I hope and pray for your sake that this is not what you are going through. It's manageable, but never goes away, and can be Very painful at times.

In that video, did you say you never toughed the throttle? I wish I could help with that problem, but I've never seen that before.

maybe its the vid but it sounds kinda funky... well power to ya for working on it while being hurt.

The camera I was using doesn't record loud sounds well at all and since it's on an open downpipe it very easily distorts.

No I never touched the throttle, it was doing it all by itself. I posted a thread in the GTE Tech section and it's most likely my TPS. Crappy weather weekend and I'll be flying both days too so it'll be next week sometime before I can play with it.

Scott, I kept trying to remember what that was you had. I will ask about it when I'm finally able to get back and see this specialist. I saw him once already under the assumption the ins. was straightened out and he ordered an MRI of my neck. He's very suspicious of a possible pinched nerve somewhere in there. I'll keep you posted.

aneurysm's ftl. I hope you get to feelign better Ken.

Doctors are good at what they do, so no worries. I had to let one operate on my back, and he did a great job.

That is not actually my first drive. It was like my third. I would have driven longer for the camera but my temp was rising. I don't think I have enough coolant in the radiator. I did hear alot of gurgling around the thermostat housing when I shut if off at home. I can't help but feel a little nervous about it though.

sound in that area is pretty common as the turbo will thermal syphon coolant through it after the car is turned off...

Or you have a leak...

lets just add more to his fears with the post above. LOL. Hope everything is ok.

:biglaugh:

I think the problem is when I had the throttle body off it leaked a huge amount of coolant onto the driveway and I kinda forgot about it doing that. Oops. I need to be more attentive to that kind of stuff because that could've cost me....big time.
