Do yall remember me posting about my back and the problems I've had with it? Well today I was
finally able to get into the neuro surgeons office. We changed insurance at work on Jan 1 and before that he wasn't on our particular ins. Well anyway I got in to see him and I'm supposed to be getting an MRI on my neck within the next week hopefully. He seems to be of the opinion I have a pinched nerve in my neck causing my arm and leg weakness. After I left the docs office I go straight to Jack in the Box and get me an Ultimate Cheeseburger! They are FTMFW!!!
After I get home I start messing with the car. Todays weather is windy and 84 f*cking degrees with storms tonight. I take my SM printouts out with me and first I discover that I'm a dumbass ::dunce::. I found that the number 2 and 4 plug wires were backwards on the coilpacks. I swap them over to their correct place, fire up the car and low and behold the car is running so smooth I can barely feel it idle. I rev it up a few times, get a woody from hearing the turbo spool and then it starts to have an intermittent miss again, but NOTHING like before. I still plan on replacing the wires and checking the gaps on the plugs.
So I'm feeling pretty good about my accomplishment and decide to tackel the throttle body swap. My car had the manual TB and attempts to ghetto fab the tranny kickdown cable were not that successful. So I take it off the car swap the TPS over and then realize my auto TB does not have this
It's a dash pot. Just found that out today. I take the one off the manual TB and attempt to place it on the auto one but the stopper part does not line up with the throttle lever. I decide to call it a day with the car until I can get the dash pot situation figured out. Anybody have one off an auto TB???? The car is still on jack stands until I can put the exhaust back on it. I was hoping to have that done tomorrow so I could test drive it but it doesn't look like that is going to happen.
