Pretty much. If they did try to even consider touching the engine i'ld probably kill them as neither know anything about cars, other than they move. I don't let anyone near the car without me
My father loaned me some money for my 1jz swap. My mom went with me on a 2 hour drive each way to pick up my bomex front bumper in her 07' Maxima.
Me and my dad have done all the work on my car. He's a good guy and has basically taught me everything I know....

My folks won't touch my cars. But they let me store my cars and parts at thier place. My stepdad has supported me in my endevours and gave me a place to live after my life went to hell and I went back to school for Auto Tech. After I get my Supra up and running and Integra rebuilt my next project will be to find and rebuild a 1976 Pontiac Trans Am to repay him for all he has done for me over the years.
Now one of my friends mom has adopted the crew as her "sons". She will come out and bring us homemade cookies or cook us food when we are working on the cars. She also drives a modified Ford Escort ZX2 and has a few speeding tickets to her name.

my dad has helped me pull a motor or 2 lol and my mom will help wash the car sometimes but thats about it and labrat i know what you mean i want to restore a 63 impala (his first car)for my dad to repay him for all the stuff he does for me
ditto my dad has taught me just about everything i know. Until i got to Forced Induction. then it was all tissimo from then on.
My dad helps me out alot on my cars, and my mom actually held a tranny for me in my FWD DSM and she also helped me carry the 7M head when the HG popped lol

I'm at college, but my dad gives me tips over the phone. My mom would rather talk about the weather and what I have eaten for the past 100 meals.
Well let see...my dad changed my oil last week, installed new Iridium plugs, re-calibrated my TPS sensor, replaced my worn radiator hoses, replaced all pads in my brakes, and changed the fluids in my tranny and diff...oh and he also washed my car ...... :naughty: :naughty: :naughty:
