whats the turnaround time for getting all this done?

Also if i do ship all this stuff over there and having to get it shipped back- thats alot of cash am spending on if people "think" they want to do this. Satan is the only guy i know for sure that wants the kit and even helped on a 20 dollar donation to get the ball rolling. All the info is presented in great detail for this kit, Arz kit or even a custom kit. And each different setup will suit one person better than the others. Am really looking more for an commitment.

I'm trying to keep the cost as low as possible. Shipping just the brackets should be pretty inexpensive. I only need the rest of the stuff to measure for the rings and to test assemble everything. However, my Supra is currently out of action, and I can use it for mockup purposes. I'll go ahead and pick up a 350Z track rotor and measure it and measure my own hub to get it all figured out. I'll get a pair of prototype rings and then send them to you since that's all you need to finish your setup. I'll also pay to ship your brackets back to you once I have a good CAD model and a production cost.

What else is needed, just to get the dimensions documented? Let's do that, I'll help.

The next step would be to send out for bids and see what the cost options are. Let's just take it a step at a time, but continue to make forward progress...

am lost are you just needing the adapters or everything that i got? Both last 2 post stated you wanted to do one or the other so just let me know.

Also just thought about this since i use to work at an auto parts store. Every manufacture makes their rotors slightly different . For example an aftermarket rotor wont always line up the same as a factory rotor meaning the inner hat area could be different. To me it doesn't matter what rotor we use but could give you troubles with the rings lining up properly. If that is the case, if Boosted uses factory rotors i'll get the track rotors 15% over cost from my nissan dealer and just charge you what they charge me. And if he uses an aftermarket source he can just tell us where to pick them up at.

Anyways, just let me know what you need and i'll try to get it out Tuesday.

I'm saying just send the brackets for cloning. I'll handle the rest.

I also work in auto parts, and I can tell you that the center bore is the only part of the rotor that MUST be perfect. Therefore aftermarket rotors will have the same center bore as a factory rotors.

My machinist has given me the go ahead to send him the brackets for cloning. PM if you want his address. I'll handle all the return shipping and cost.

the only reason i'd like to just get a set is b/c i dont want to wait for everyone to have their money and then have a bunch of flakers, if you dont know what im talking about take a look at the group buy section and how they are alwaya having troubles getting enough people, and sometimes these group buys take close to a year, and i do support the forum but sometimes things dont work out as planned, ie robert from 935
if anyone knows the link it would be greatly appreciated, if not ill keep looking or if this "group buy" gets off the ground soon ill participate
thanks

Hey, these guys are moving along with this and I don't really expect allot of flakers as only really interested people are participating in the thread now.....so....if you want a set from firstly this forum, this thread and from this country (where if necessary you could get support) then stay tuned to this thread.

The brackets will be with my machinist later this week. Once he puts all the dimensions into the computer he'll be able to tell me what it will cost to make them. Obviously the more I have him make the cheaper they will be. Once we have a firm price and turnaround time for the brackets, I'll focus on the rings which are by far the easy part. I'll let you guys know as soon as I know about the prices and turnaround time. I am planning on doing a group buy on these. If I can get a certain number of these sold, the price will be better and I won't have to worry about spending money I won't get back. (At least not much more than I will have invested just to get the 1st set cloned.)

well keep us posted b/c it looks like someone already started a group buy,
www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=79147

but it'll prob be easier and faster if they are being made and shipped in the US

Very interesting. Everybody buying those brackets will still need centering rings. I'm going to be producing the centering rings as well and trying to keep the pricing as competitive as possible. I'll keep you all posted.

I just got off the phone with my machinist, and I'm hearing good things. Even the one-off price is a good deal! Once I have a firm price and details worked out for the centering rings, I'll let you all know.

Thanks for your patience,
Collin

^^ if you do make these brackets and rings im so down for 2 sets =D!!!! keep us posted.

I'm quite serious about producing these. I think it's pretty much a certain thing now. I'm just waiting on final pricing, and I'll close the deal.
