After doing some checking i finally realized my car has had a lexus afm since i bought it. It has also never ran right since i bought it. How do i know if it has 550cc injectors, or stock injectors?

Can you see what color the injectors are? The stock 440's are black, but some of the Denso 550's can be purple or some other color and plug right into the factory harness. Has there been any modification to the injector clips? Some 550's (like RC's) use different plugs and require cutting and splicing into the factory harness.

Black, unmodified clips. I picked up an actual Toyota housing this time, instead of the three Lexus housings i have in my possession. Ill throw it on this weekend, and see what happens.

I see you are in Dallas. My sister came to visit a few weeks ago. She saw my Supra and asked me if i knew my brother in law (different sister's husband) had a shop that worked on that generation of Supra. I didnt. All i know about him is his name is Christian. His wife (girlfriend?) is Jessica. And he is in the Dallas area. Would you happen to know who i am talking about?

Anyone heard anything about the pennzoil platinum plus? I'm at work and a customer bought half of our 10w30 5qt jugs, they're on sale for $10! Might just get me a couple anyways

@chevyguyjoe, You probably have just the stock injectors. Yes, I've met Christian before. I was going to have him do some work on my car a few months ago, but I couldn't get in touch with him and was told by other locals that he wasn't working on cars anymore. For a long time, he was the go to guy for MK3's in the Dallas area. He would probably be a good source for info if you have a way to get in contact with him.

Does anyone know of a good manual seat swap for a mk3?

There were very few Supras that actually came with manual seats instead of power. Not many, but there are a few out there, so that's an option.

Penzoil Platinum is an excellent oil that is usually ~$25. Well regarded by those who know. Never heard of the "plus" part though.

I have rpf1's on the front of my car. 17x8 +45mm. Also have the cobra brakes. It fits, but i dont use hub centric rings for the wheels, i just center it with the conical lugs carefully as i tighten them. only problem i could see is if you use the hub centric rings for the wheels is that the hub centric rings for the rotors are slightly thicker then the rotor mounting surface (at least mine were) so it would also space out the wheel centering ring. they work good.

hows the fittment of your rear wheels, thinkin about getting 17x10+35's with 275/40-17 et streets.

I have 17x8 +35 with 245/40 or 45 up from and 17x9.5 +38 275/40 or 45 in the rear also with Cobra brakes but I did use the centric rings that came with the driftmotion kit. I think you can fit 10s in the rear I also have BC Racing coilovers but when I put the wheels on it feels like there is an inch or inch and a half gap but I would find someone with the size wheels you want and test fit.
Fits great over the Cobra brakes

I am trying to figure out how to actually adjust my clutch engagement on the pedal, it's so high up but adjusting the lock nut just seems to adjust the free play and not the actual engagement point.

Doat: I could have sworn i saw you ask about fitment of the cobra brakes under the RPF1's. Did you delete or edit a post? Im looking back and i have no idea where i came up with my post. Haha

EDIT: Never mind i found the post i saw it was on the previous page. Got myself all confused.

Can somebody explain me:
is the hacksaw,- the only way to take of that heating piping cap off? it's a rhd engine in lhd car and i need to reroute hoses for heater.
Pliers dont do their job and i'm affraid cuting pipe and leaving it wihout beveled end could cause a leak...
